Depends on what you're looking for. If you just wanna drag race, don't even bother with a Corvette. Get something cheaper with a solid axle rearend. But, the Z06 is leaps and bounds ahead in the "total driving experience" over any Mustang you can buy. Oh, and it happens to be really damn fast, too

Really damned fast is 160+mph traps to me in a street car. Anything outside
of that is just pissing in the wind. My car literally feels pathetic to me.
I could eat a cheeseburger while rowing through the gears at WOT...and my
Cobra is faster than 99% of the cars I encounter.

I'm considering buying a convertible C5 or C6. The convertible part scares me
though....not sure what to do at this point.

Buy the C6 and keep your mustang problem solved.

Unit what car/bike have you been in that trapped over 160+mph? Nevertheless a street driven car? Id say anything on the street that traps over 120+mph is a serious note, your car given its circumstances is higher then that, and can probley go higher with more boost...I like your car and always will but ive never heard of a 160+mph street driven car before.
