Theres 2 or 3 different types of those. All you just need the clutch to pull out and then just go through the gears. One is sequintial, like most Le Mans cars have, you just pull back on the shifter to shift up, push forward to downshift. Then theres the paddleshift sequintial, then the ones like the NHRA prostock cars use. That Mustang probally had the same kind as the Pro Stock cars.

Looks like average shifting to me. It's not hard to learn to shift at that level. I was 17 when I got my car and never drove a stick before in my life and with a little practice, rowing gears got easy.

Nope that mustang has a 5 speed just like all the rest of them its just driven by a guy with some bowling ***** between his legs. I have that video and then an outside the car view and he just shifts FAST.

That video was posted a while back on here and some guy who works on that Stang says it's one of those "no clutch" trannies. I have both of those videos too. It's a blue Stang.

I think it was mentioned before that it was a Richmond Clutchless street / strip 5 - speed transmission. Still fast shifting though. I think his 1-2 shift was with the front tire(s) in the air in the outside video...

I gained 2mph on average powershifting vs speedshifting, and my buddy in his 11 second ls1 rx7 with t56 gained 4mph..
