Re: THIS Cobra GOES BOOOOOMM!!!! He tried to do a 2nd gear N20 assisted start off the line, the car bogged and it backfired. It toasted the intake manifold(broke into pieces) and sent some bolts and stuff threw the hood, I think there was more but I forgot what my buddy told me.

Re: THIS Cobra GOES BOOOOOMM!!!! i was in a simular type of explosion, but i was going into 3rd gear in a 99gt vert. then the night lite up like the 4th of july. bent all valve on the passinger head and the intake was a mess. but i won the race still. <img border="0" alt="[Fluffy]" title="" src="graemlins/fluffy.gif" />

He was spinning hard taking off in first on his previous passes so he put into second gear and tried to take off that way. What is so hard to understand about that? If you have a 6speed put into 2nd gear and take off, it'll take off like a dog but it will go or any car/truck with a manual tranny for that matter.

He really should of had a window switch, that would have shut it off when he bogged. Also, he should have launched in 1st n/a and sprayed once he was in 2nd.

The day before I was riding with him, he just had the n2o kit installed. He was spraying it around 2000rpms. I told him thats too low, but no one listens to me, I drive a slow import. Next day at the track, boom.
He put a SHM motor in it, heard he blew that up already too.

So everyone Knows, He blew the Intake to into six pieces,Intake bolts went through the hood, and broke 4 pistons. The pass be for that he went 12.6@114mph spraying out of the hole in second(we race at 4,000 feet elevation)and was his best time of the night.The guy really doesn't know how to drive, and was spraying in first gear which led to instent tire spin and 1/4 times in the 13's.
