Man too bad those little things dont have more power for the straights. They are just insane through the turns.. I have a vid of one running lap after lap with a well driven Ferrari F40.

Smokin little cars. They are going to be made road legal here in the states in 2004. Stocker should be around 40K I think.

POwer to weight is inrcredible just runs out of motor past 100, I beleive they top out at 140. Anyways me and the fiance are thinking about buying one for auto cross to go with my Esprit.

That vette was running very well as well. In the video I have of the Elise and F40 they pass a ton of vettes, and porsches, it looks like that vette driver was hanging in out there! Nice work!

Nice vid thanks!

That was a very nice video. Looked like a lot of fun. But that Vette walked that thing in the straightaway...WOW
Nice driving I must say,

The 2003 Esprit TT V8 is only 1 second quicker around Hethel's (Lotus Factory) test track in England.

That little thing suprises a ton of people on the track. I would really like to know what mods that vette has.

Haha, how sad... A highly modified Elise 'race car' doesn't even come close to hanging with a nearly stock C5.

Not sure if it really is a TT Vette but it did pull nicely in the straights!

Hybrid Slow:

Those cars (Elise) are hardly highly modified. It only makes around 140 HP for christ's sake. I think the new ones have alittle more. I am a huge LS1 fan, and have had several very fast LS1 cars and love them to death, and now I own a Lotus. I still to this day beleive that the best possible car to modify wether it be for road coarse or 1/4 performance is an LS1/LS6 machine.

But I do realy enjoy the Elise and Esprits. I garuntee that vette had some work done because I have several videos of that little Lotus really tearing up some stock C5's, Ferrari 355's, and Porsche 911 turbos. That corvette is doing an exceptional job to walk that Elise!

Anyways please dont think that an Elise is in anyway a highly modified race car. It would be much like purchasing a Dodge neon SRT/4 with a mamoth chasis/ suspension upgrade.

Just an entry level race car for the enthusiast's that enjoy road racing. Its a great concept! I really wish GM would do a drag pack type car for the drag racers in all of us. Maybe a nice A4 with a big stall and some boltons that would run high 11's right from the factory.

Anyways I would think that a Leng TT stage 1 car would run door to door with a Ferrari F4 in the straights, and based on the other vid I have they look to pull exactly the same.

I really wish I knew what mods the vette has.

I haven't watched that version of the vid, but it is more than likely the same version I have on my harddrive.

The Corvette is a modded car by a tuner in Europe called Red (or Redd).

The Lotus is a Lotus Elise Motorsports version isn't it? Lighter weight, not street legal, etc. Just listen to the engine and the lightweight flywheel.

I am guessing the Vette is just suspension and maybe some bolt ons. I would put money on it being a stock shortblock.
