There was no 4.6 DOHC motor in 95. The Mach 1's motor is basically the 99-04 Mustang GT's 4.6 with DOHC heads.
Brock Yates is a dumbass. The "shaker hood inhibits my visibility and I don't particulartly like to drive this car" - okay dumbass, learn to look past the hood scoop instead of straing at it...
Then the dumbass comes on and says "this Mach 1 is the first or second Mustang to have independant rear suspension" - hey clueless, the Mach 1 has a solid rear axle. All it takes is one look under the car to realize that, the whole review is skewed and full of innaccuracies.

The one I saw from C&D had them testing out the SS and WS6 at the track. They didn't understand why but with the same driver and both cars being 6 speeds, the WS6 was a thenth faster everytime.

96 was the first year for the 4.6l SOHC and DOHC motors. The SOHC was rated at 215hp and the DOHC was rated at 305. 99 was the year the SOHC was bumped to 260 and 290trg via the PI heads and the DOHC was supposed to be 320 but had to be recalled due to quality control issues with the exhaust and intake manifold. The exhaust was crimped b/c of the new IRS restricting flow to creat more ground clearance and the Intake had a lip of material blocking air flow. Ford fixed these problems by Extrude Honing the Intake and replacing the mufflers to bring the numbers up to where they should have been.
