Actually Top Gear's Jeremy Clarkson liked the C6 Z06's handling, heck even Tiff Needel( EX-F1 driver) from Fifth Gear loved the handling as well. They both did complain about the ride stiffness.

Thats not technology when you stuff a 7.0 liter motor in a 3100lb car. Thats what any car is suppose to do with that much of a motor and weight. I agree that it is a nice car and fast for what it is, but I would not consider push rod a new age technology!

I'm not comparing anything, you guys jumped on the other guy about him using technology to bash THE ALMIGHTY FORD product, I just showed what technology he meant. By the way 25psi, try to cram a 7 liter 505 horse engine in a 3100 pound car and see if you can get it do what the Z06 can. That new Shelby looks like a turtle, it's not as quick as it should be, it's to heavy, and it handles like a fat guy on a freshly waxed hardwood floor. It's a great power for the money ratio, but I'd take an 04 Cobra over that anyday, and I don't even like mustangs. The 11.24 was on streets, and yes it was by one of the best drivers, that's not the point.

Steady on pal, some of us may get upset at such a broad generalisation.
Just admit that maybe they are right at some of the criticisms, maybe not all. But for the cost of the car once all duties are paid there are a lot of European cars that although not as quick in a straight line would be more nimble and perhaps be more fun and value for money.

They all have their problems, none can compare aesthetically or build quality-wise to the European cars because they cost a crap load more. Personally I love the F50, Enzo and the F430.

Nope, I based my knowledge on those Exact times that I posted earlier. And no, I don't believe the Supra is the fastest car in the world, as we all know, it's the Mustang, V6 or V8 it doesn't matter. And yes, I've heard of the recalls from Ferrari, but you can't say that Any American car has half the build quaility of the European Elite. Porshe, Ferrari, BMW, or Mercedes. I'll revise my statement this much, Outside of a car that costs half a million and the Ford GT, no car comes close, remember the car costs $65K.The CGT is only a .10 faster to 60,the Zonda F isn't quite as quick to 60.

I'll take a 911 turbo anyday over a Z06 c6(only 30,000 more)! What you fail to realize is that, producing a motor that has already been in production,old in technology isnt that hard to produce cheaply. Basically if you think about it 7.0 liters is a huge motor for only producing 500hp. If the S2000 where to have a 7 liter motor, it would produce in upwards of 700hp. Since where on technology, why is it that every car company now utilizes some form of VVTI excluding the vette. People sit here and talk about Hondas/Acuras, but, some domestic car companies have converted to some form of Vtech.
