Whoever was the guy in this thread that called BS, is wrong.
C6 is lighter, yes. Less power, plenty of them out there with HORRIBLE drivers LOL. A 670RWHP Cobra is no joke, along with 650 ft./lbs of torque.
That's a fast ******* street car. Doesn't matter that it's all of 4000 pounds with a passengers. It's going to roll out. That along with a driver (C6) who may not have skill, and there you go.
Cobras are sick, Vettes are sick, etc. Give up some credit if it's a fast street car, and set aside the BS excuses. Unless it's a Honda/FWD car
Yeah it was more than likely bone stock. But they run like hell stock. So what's not to like about beating one? Damn...

In my opinion beating a car (It doesn't matter what car it is) with another car that has 200 more hp to the wheels is not some huge accomplishment it is simple physics. That is like me racing my wife in her Grand Prix SE with even a bone stock LS1, gee I wonder what would happen.
Just because the flagship Corvette is a bad *** stock vehicle doesn't mean it is unbeatable by any means.
Fast is fast, and there is always someone with a faster car...even if you drive a C6 Z06. There are a **** load of cars out there that are faster than mid 11's, go **** with them...and stop destroying my "C6 Z06 is faster than anything" fantasies!

Well it couldnt have been a bad beating. As a vette with only a few mods makes 500 rwhp and that cobra at 2 tons would have very close lb/hp ratios. I woudl bet on teh cobra but 3 lengths is kinda alot unless u go till 180 lol. I wish there was a video. I can care less who wins a race i jsut love to see races. GL man

Good kill, and for those of you that think that nothing out there can beat a C6 ZO6 get a clue.I would hand a new ZO6 it's *** and I don't make as much horse as the FI Cobra. Lets see some video. I almost had video of me taking out a new Viper but he got scared when I dumped the clutch at 50mph and laid it sideways then slowed back down and got next to him trying to get him to go but he didn't want to be a video victom.

Yeah Cobra's are fast, but it takes a **** load of Horsepower.
I remember one younger cocky kid from R.I.T. talking about how his 500rwhp Cobra could take anything in the area...
He goes out to race a Cammed LS1 that puts down just a little over 420rwhp, and the runs where dead even.

Guys you don't have to have anywhere near 650+whp in a cobra to beat a c6 zo6. I witnessed a guy with just a 2.8 upper exhaust and a 4lb lower "485ish whp" go 11.05 @125 last sunday at the track in his mineral grey cobra with the stock irs also. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lw-fCgY1cQQ

yes great accompishment...all anyone is sayin is that the z is all engine...no blower...ALL 505 under warrenty...you have to mod the **** out of ANY car to get it therre...no vid so who knows maybe maybe not. again awesome accomplishment...but try without spray or a blower! then beat a z and i will be your slave forever and worship the ground you walk on!
