Whoever made the "put pump gas in it" comment is out of his mind. It wasn't built to run on 93, so way say that? LOL....
Run just about any 9 second car (or better) on pump gas and see what happens. That is ignorant as hell...

Well it can still make decent power on 93 but it's a waste of time when it's C16 away from making a shitload more. The car made a 1000 mile trip straight several times on 93 octane. Just about every 03 Cobra around here runs race gas of some sort, so do some LS1's and alot of other power adder cars.

Please bro!I used to be a DSM guy,and the advantage of race gas in a turbo or FI set up can be a huge amount of power.I should have said put some race gas in the cobra and see what happens.

BTW, how many of those pump gas drag cars were 4 cylinder turbo cars?
A lot of those motors are HUGE $$$ big block cars, with tons of time/tuning to get them to run those numbers. Never mind the amount of time invested in setting up and dialing in suspension setups.
I never said you couldn't make power on 93. I've seen 1500HP BBCs in marine applications running pump 93 ALL DAY.
If you are so framiliar with FI and the benefits of race gas, what don't you understand here?
