Oh look what I found, brand new 2007 Z06's for under 80k, a few are even under 70K brand ****** new too. So what was that about these being 100K again?
http://motors.search.ebay.com/search...e=search&fgtp=

Now lets say 70K base price add an overestimated 15% tax, tags and you get $80,500, still almost 20k less than the 100K that you keep mentioning. Again

yeah id mod it, lid and catback would probably be it. Very simple to reverse those back to stock.

whoa whoa whoa. that's not what I meant at all. the C6Z is the best bang for the buck for a complete car you can buy from the showroom. im saying that you dont do low 11's, squeak into the high ten's, then run 10.1.

ok so you found 1 link and all the ones for 70K buy it now are USED and the other NEW ones people are still bidding on them so here a couple of links for you to look at:
1
2
3
4
5
6

Can you say PWNED!!!!

so take the first car and add your 15% TTL and you get....$100,538.75
or take the last car and add your 15% TTL and you get...$91,994.25 which is more along the lines of what I meant by CLOSE TO 100K....apparently you cant read

and you would mod it with a lid and catback huh? well they dont make "lids" for the new Z06, uhh newsflash lol its not an LS1 Fbody, and a catback....well most people are keeping the stock catback as it is already made of titanium and flow pretty good so they are going to LT's and a new midpipe.....

Is there actually a guy in here arguing that a car with an MSRP of $72k that performs like it does is a bad deal? Newsflash--not everybody wants a rusty 10 second Fox body Mustang.

Is this the twilight zone?

Obviously you cant read very well. There are a bunch of 07's that are brand new like 10 miles and are under 80K for Buy It Now. De de de

And anyway in your previous post you said used ones are going for 85K, so which is it? New ones for 85k or used ones, make up your mind.

And I used 15%, which is way overrated. It would be more like under 10%

As for the mods, thats great that they dont make lids, I am sure they will make some type of basic intake boltons, maybe I should have made that clearer. I realy dont care about the specifics of the mods, my point was that I would do very minor boltons that could be easily reversed so i could keep the warranty. Anyway I wouldnt even need to mod it, the damn thing can turn a low 11 right off the floor.

No **** the average Fbody owner cant afford the car, most fbody/stang owners are young and in college. And there are a lot of members here that own expensive cars or have multiple fbodys. Its not like we are all poor or something.

Apparently you can, and you do too much of it. Rather than reading something on the internet (EBay is NOT a good indicator of real-world pricing), why don't you check out some local dealers and find out what they are REALLY selling for. I recently saw one at a local dealer where the original buyer backed out, and they put the car on the showroom for a total asking price of 78,000. That's a far cry from 100K.

I agree with you ebay is a bad place to look at prices !! I have personaly seen one at a dealership in SC that was going for 82,000 after all said and done out the door! now that isnt close to 100,000 and if you pay that much your a dumb*** ! And who cares how much it costs ? It is a badass car that is running 10s with sticky tires stock I would take a C6 Z06 or hell even a base C6 anyday if i could afford it LOL.

Why the hell are we fighting abot this car? I know 99% of fbody owners, myself included, wouldnt be able to afford a new C6 vette let alone a Zo6. At 100k the C6 Zo6 is unbeatable. U couldnt replicate it being 10 second fast with NO MODS still pull serious g's in the corners. Get everyone drooling over teh car at 99% of the places u go to. And have a 5 year 100,000 mile warrenty that allows u to drive it at 9/10's all day long and not have to worry about what ull have to drive to work the next day cause u just blew the rear end up. As GM will give u a loaner or a rental car.
C6 ZO6 FTW!!!

Ebay is "real world pricing" you win a bid for 80K then you pay 80K and you actually own the item you buy. That is "real worl pricing". I am looking at one from a ebay dealer that is going for 80.5K buy it now, you click buy it now and you now own a Z06 for 80.5K + like 200 in document fees and then state sales tax and tags, end of story.

I bought my TA from an ebay dealer and couldnt be more happy, i got a great deal on it.

I just like how most people on this board(read: not an insult) gauge a cars worth in it's 1/4-mile time. I love drag racing too, but the new Z06 is so much more than a straight line rocket. I think it's not fair simply to examine it in terms of it's performance in the 1/4-mile. It's handling capabilities are what make it such a phenomenal machine. It's able to handle like a european exotic while still running 11's stock in the quarter. If you compare it to the GT-500, it'll simply wipe the floor with it. Sure, with some cheap mods you could get the new Cobra to catch up to the 'vette, maybe even surpass it in the 1320. But the damn thing is so heavy it'll never reach the distinction of supercar, simply based on it's handling capabilities. Simply put, I think the Z06 is a complete car and by far one of GM's best engineering efforts yet.

They easily trap 115mph. If that's 13 second territory, the driver needs
to be shot.
