saleen camaro??? confused...
That is not a saleen camaro. The movie company who is doing commissioned Saleen to build a mock-up camaro on a mustang chasis because there are no working models available for filming.
Not sure the history, but I know its from the movie set of "Transformers". I wouldnt put too much money in it though...then again SLP is making Mustang parts...so who knows...every is confused.

I also just heard this. The reasoning is due to a few things:
1- the killing of the Ford GT and the GTR concept (Saleen helped in building these)
2-All the $$$ Ford is throwing at Shelby...
I guess we'll see, but it'd prove interesting to see what he could do with a GM product.

Accually the car is built on the GTO, they commisioned Saleen to do it since he has a dine a number of cars for other movies. Such as the Shelby for the second Tripple X movie and such. BUt there is an artical out there that he might be tunning the new camaro also.

The November 06 issue of Hot Rod has an article on the car that they built from the movie. The movie company chose Saleen because they knew they had the resources to do the job correctly and quickly. They cut apart a GTO and put a fiberglass Camaro body on it that they made from the concept car molds.
