My assumption is that the body is provided with the kit.

Body comes with the kit. You need a driveline, engine/transaxle, wheels/tires ,etc.

Yeah that is a factory five car, me and my dad built one of their ac cobra kits. I have seen that car in person and its pretty bad ***. The shop down the street from me built one a while back it was one of the first ones to be built. It had alot of problems in it but it looked pretty cool. The most expensive thing is the porsche transaxle.

I know its not completely accurate, but fwiw when I put 2300#'s and 505hp in a 1/4 mile calc and I received a 10.2 Im guessing that car should be capable of 9's.

Well i'll go out on a limb and say it looks like....it's a "cheap" (to build) version of a GT40/Ford GT...... BUT, cheaper, lighter, faster.

They mentioned the probability of 3 second 0 - 60's and 11 second 1/4 runs on 'only' 350hp. Can't wait to see the TT-LS7 Monster someone will build.

They also mentioned:
2004 Porsche GT_________343 lbs. DOWNFORCE @ 150 mph
1999 Ferrari 360 Modena_______294 lbs. DOWNFORCE @ 150 mph
2005 Factory Five GTM ___333 lbs. DOWNFORCE @ 150 mph

Note: The test was completed on a street-trim vehicle.
They mention, "We know we can generate better numbers by lowering the ride height to a race set-up and using radically different front splitter and rear wing configurations, but we wanted to optimize the street configuration first."

Not bad considering the Porsche has that fancy wing on the back.

I think we can deal with all of that.

I am actually planning on building one. I already have a Donor c5 corvette and visited their factory. It is suggest that you use a G50 and an ls1 or ls6. Talking to the people at the factory sounds like the LS7 (which they used a GT3 tranny for) is complete overkill. The car acn certainly be done for around 40k, which is what I am planning on doing.
As for how you drive it, you register it as a kit car, and can get insurance through certain providers. It is entirely street legeal, if you do the proper leg work.
