not the actually knock sensor plugs...they are hooked up..its the connection that the two wires go into...that you run under the manifold and out behind the engine...it was unplugged along with everything else during the install...when I put the manifold back on tonight I checked all wires...BUT that one DAMMIT

Ouch yeh sounds like you might have to pull the manifold again maybe some1 else will chime in with an idea.

Hey buddy

I picked up some Krylon fusion paint, spray can..and some primer, cleaed the **** out of em...sanded a bit with 400, cleaned em again...and painted away...gave them time to dry...came out pretty good...

I forgot who it was but some other member on this board did it and thats where got the inspiration and how to! Thanks to that guy!

looks good man very good..i think the harness runs over the top of the bell housing so you might be able to squeeze up there from underneith..at least its worth a shot not having to remove your intake again..hell a couple months ago i clean my engine bay up and somehow got water in the knock sensor and made theSEC light come one so i had to remove my ls6 intake just to replace them...,it was a PITA! but youll get it just take your time and make sure everything is gone over 3 times just to make sure..youll be layin in bed tryin to sleep, goin over everything and think. but i tighten that one bolt up good or that harness lol..ive done it and i have nothing really that involved done..good luck and im looking to a vid soon...

Nice looking ride Erik. I hope it all works out for you. Especially that initional startup.

What paint did you use for the intake manifold? The same kind you used for the coil packs?

I'm really liking your EWP as well. I was thinking about putting that on my street car but I'm on the fence as far as that goes because if it was to go out the only warning I'd get is an overheating engine.

hey guys thanks for the props

i had to remove the intake because I could not fit my fat hands between the cowl and larger FAST runners..

I found the female end sitting there on the drivers side...plugged it in and reattatched the manny..

The paint on the manifold is PPG red...painted by my body guy (for free)
The hues of reds vary from part to part unfortunately, but thats what you get when you have to use different paints for different parts...I am not worried about the heat as I used HIGH temp paint on everything but the coil packs..whic dont get to hot anyway...

She'll be done by Tuesday, look for initial start up Tuesday/Wednesday

WISH ME LUCK

well lets see...

every single thing I have ever done to the car...probably $10,000 over 3 years...that includes all the new stuff you see on this post...

The cool thing is all the $ I have saved doing it myself...I probably saved between $3-5k in installs etcetc....

Makes it worth it ya know!

Its a lot but not bad considering a good twin turbo set up alone is like $7-8k

ANother reason to like N/A!
