That's a 1/8 mile track right? Either:

A. On the 2-3 shift he instead went 2-1 and locked up the tires

B. Broke loose on the 2-3 and it kicked out then gripped and he was on the brakes which lightened the rear and countered the steering wheel.

What? I had a mid 90's v6 ranger that would chirp 4th with the stock tires on it. My car chirps 4th around 95-100mph on slicks with barely over 300. The tranny ratios are still pretty steep in the lower gears to get a kick out. It's not only hp but also depends on gearing.

It takes a lot more than a chirp to spin a car out. Car appears stock.

Wow, this is the second time I see something like this happen at sac raceway. A while back I believe a corvette did the same thing in the same lane, but didn't hit the wall.
BTW sac raceway is a 1/4 mile track not an 1/8th.

Well... Technically the track owner has a duty to owe to its customers (invitees) to inspect for dangers... If it can be proven that the owner or one of the employees was negligent in inspecting for these dangers... The case is very possible...

But the waiver does throw stuff off... It's required by insurance, obviously... And you're above 18 too, so you're well aware that there's a possibility of oil spots... I believe the judge would uphold the waiver, because the dangers of racing are 'known,' as well of the risks of loss... It's assumed that you know there's a possibility you could wreck. Its all about proving where they as a company screwed up....

If the car ahead of you blew a motor and they didn't reinspect the track.. Then you hit oil and spin into the wall.. You've got them.
