Don't Drink and Drive
I was going through some old pictures and found some of my buddy's accident. It was about 1:00 am and we were coming back from a night of cruising in Harlingen, Tx. I was right behind him when it happend.
Two girls were driving on the expressway going the opposite direction as us. The dumb bitch was drunk. She lost control at the top of the overpass and on the way down, she came accross the median, hit a V shaped gutter and went airborne! She completely jumped the guard rail on our driver's side and slammed head-on into my buddy's '92 Anniversary Z28, 383 stroker. That car was in mint condition and he had just put some expensive leather seats in.
I don't have any pics of the car before the accident but it was gorgeous. The pic of the girls' Mitsubishi Galant shows the hood in almost perfect condition because they were in the air when they hit. The two girl's were air lifted to the hospital. My buddy somehow only got a fractured ankle and a few stitches in his elbow. My other friend in the passenger seat wasn't so lucky. He facial fractures and was banged up really bad!
The first two were at the scene. The bumper was all that was left untouched by the fire. The 4th picture is looking into the front seat from the passenger door. You can see that the steering wheel broke off and is sitting to the bottom left of the picture. That last picture shows how lucky my buddy was. I don't know how he walked away from this one.
