Default My LT1 eats up an LS1 at the track (Video)

I bet this guy that even if I gave him a few second head start that I would still beat him down the track. I know the time doesn't start until you move, I was more or less seeing who got to the quarter mile point first. It actually wasn't a very good run for me as I skirched the DR's in the first 3 shifts, and my 60ft time was only like a 2.03.

Although little G was there, this was not against him. I remember because we were checking out each other's Camaro's in the staging lanes and he was two cars behind mine in my lane.

The LS1 I believe was pretty much stock. And, yes that is the car, but before it had the supercharger, or all the goodies. It was N/A at the time and was making 420 RWHP.

Now its been supercharged and the motor has been re-built and is making 590 RWHP. I tried going to the track once in it supercharged later last year, but due to a rubber inlet tube on the blower collapsing, I was only getting like 4#'s of boost, and I never made a full run down the track without shutting it down before the end. Basically except for after it was dyno'd, and a few other times, it never ran quite right after the blower install. I've finally worked out all the bugs, but they got fixed just in time to put it away for its winter storage. I'll be getting it back out in May, and you can count on seeing it again at ATCO, and probably in another video on here.

And here's a vid of it after the rebuild and supercharger install on the dyno;

Somewhere I actually have video of its supercharged track runs (even though they are horrible). If you guys really want, I could try to post them up as well.

I'll see if I can find them to put up. (shouldn't be a problem) Like I said though, as soon as I got into the boost the inlet would colapse choking the car, and at that point I wasn't aware of exactly what was going on so I let off the gas completly and coasted the rest of the way, so I never got a full run in. Any MPH that was calculated will be like 40 MPH. I'm sure if I had a good run in now it would be 125-135 ish. I'll know this year since I have it dialed in now.

Alright, here's the lousy runs with the blower. The 2nd run I get a great start but once the boost gets under load in 3rd, and the inlet tube collapses, I pretty much let off all together, compared to the first one were it collapses but I stay in it until just after 4th gear.
