I just looked for the new issue and can't find it at the book stores. I think my mail guy takes it home for a week before he delivers it to me. Can somebody scan a pic of the cover and the car you guys are talking about? Thanks...Tony

Noooope! Seems like everytime someone mentions the fenders being mass produced, they are never heard from again.

The fact is, there is no such thing as 'mass produced widebody kits' for a unibody car. Granted, you can do the front fenders, but the rears are part of the frame and to look right, require a lot of body work skill and hours.

I wish there were more his res pics of these cars . I still see color combos , interior combos ect. Ive never seen before . The same can be said for all the berger cars .

I think , of all the purely beaten with ugly stick tasteless sema camaros , that widebody one is actually pretty sweet and was tastefully done . I wouldnt like to own one or do something like that with my car , but in a VERY mercedes SL65 AMG black series kinda way ....its definately a cool car .

Every now and then one of these cars will pop up on Ebay.. They're usually going for around $100k.
If I won the powerball, I'd have a few of these. But they'd be a lot more trick than these cars are. Aside from the body work, these DH cars are pretty generic and lame.
I mean a 2.05 valved 427, that's limiting the capability of the motor.
I'd opt for the C6Z running gear swap. Transaxle and all! Those with the unibody comments save them... If I won the PB it would be done.
On that note, has anyone ever put a new front end on a 4th Gen? Wonder if getting rid of all the strut sheet metal bs would save major weight???
