Pretty easy to find info on that car. Paul Efantis. Pretty much rules. Google is your friend. http://www.nopi.com/storypage20.htm has a short profile. i-supra.com has a couple of threads that mention he is running a chevy automatic trans. I can easily believe that car has the torque to utilize a glide effectively. There are many other places that quote him running a 5-speed and talk about his clutches, but they are usually around ET's in the 9's and 10's...probably from back before he got it running in the 8's. Pretty tough to effectively load a turbo early in a run with a non-auto trans. This partucular run sure sounded like a glide if I had to ponder a guess.

Paul told everybody it has a TH-350 3-speed trans and yes the 8.46 pass was made with 315 BFG DRs....
