I have an XT also. Great Camera. And nice shots. Are you using the Kit Lens(18-55mm)?? I'd suggest replacing it with something in the near future. If you plan on shooting a lot of cars a wide angle such as the Canon 10-22mm or the Sigma 10-20mm are really outstanding lenses. I own a Canon 10-22mm and it's my favorite for shooting cars.

speedy, yeah, that was with the 18-55 oem lens, the only other lens i have is a Tamron 70-300mm, but i will look into that lens you mentined as long as its affordable. i wanted one of the f/2.4 70-200's but couldnt justify $1000+ on a lens.

I had a Canon 75-300 lens and a 28-105 lens. Now, those are both gone. You start to realize just how much, "you get what you pay for." I now have $2000 in lenses alone. If you want Image Quality to go up, the price goes up as well. By the way, I paid $800 for that Canon 10-22mm wide angle lens. Very good lens, but pricey. But, worth it. I love that lens. As you shoot more you'll decide if it's worth it to upgrade.
