need help with project!
need help with project! What's going on guys I need a little bit of help here with a project I want to try and do.
One of the walls in my room is about 8'x8' I want to get a really good picture taken of the SS and then find out where and what company can blow it up into a 8'x8' sixzed wallpaper. I have seen these done before at some of my friends houses and people who have them on the web.
What kind of camera/ equipment would be needed to take a picture that could be blow up and not be destorted. And how would I go about getting it on my wall/ made into a wall paper? All I have is a sony cyber shot

Also if there would be anyway to get lettering/ text onto the final wallpaper piece that would be awesome

As far as camera goes you need a really high mega pixel camera. i've never tried it but my canon xt is 8.0 mega pix and on it's highest raw setting i think you start to see distortion at about a 20" x 30" size. You'd need the latest camera like 15 mp and thoes cost about $10k so I don't know what to tell you. film might be a better option (its pixel range is in the billions) but I don't know how you would be able to blow that up. And making something that size would be really $. just my $.02

It lets you upload an image file, and it will spit out multiple pdf files that you can piece together to form a whole image whatever size you want.
May want to give er a test run before you go spending a whole lot of $$ on a professional pic.
