Yea the sts's are pretty loud.. more than likely it was a bolt-on ls1 with sts, running a built KB GT with 7-800 horse.

You all gotta be deaf to not hear the blower whine on the 1.7KB GT and I can clearly make out the STS spooling up, even though it gets drowned out later in the race by the Mustang. Get some hearing aids you old fogies!

 

I don't see any crying. I see him stating the facts that the Mustang didn't have the mods claimed. A twin screw blown mustang will have power at very low rpms and will hold it till redline. Not like an NA setup that has to rev to make power.

If someone can confirm what a KB GT typically traps (I saw a claim of 110-113), then this would be settled. If the LS1 traps 118 and a KB GT traps a few mph lower then this race makes sense.

Obviously the GT was not a bolt-on 13 second car. Whoever made that claim is an idiot.

Okay, lemme end this now. The GT was done up by JMS, well friends of mine bought a Vortech 02 GT from a guy that had the car done up at JMS, the owner was claiming JMS got 447 out of it, we later found out that wasnt true at all, it didnt make anywhere near that power. JMS has a Mustang dyno and a Dynojet, I have seen some pretty weird numbers out of places that tune with a Mustang dyno, IE cars that shouldnt even make the power they make on a Dynojet, let alone a Mustang dyno. JMS does some good work, but I have seen FUCKED numbers come from Mustang dynos since they got this so called Dynojet correction factor for them now.

The first run was a first gear roll, sounded like the GT blew the tires off. It being a Mustang, the owner probably overgeared it like most do, therefor making it a slug from a roll.

Those are just a few explanations.

Dont hate the 2v too much, my buddy has a 99 Roush VERT that has been 6.30's-6.40's with 281 inch 2v. I have seen a few make 600-700 and some even more than that.

 

Maybe a KB on a stock GT with low boost making mid to high 300's. If the car actually makes 440 rwhp (as in it has 12 psi and might actually have some timing in it since it has a built shortblock) it should run alot faster than that.

There is good example of of 433 rwhp in a slightlyyy lightened up car running as much as 121 MPH

Honestly as much as I hate to admit it, something doesn't add up. KB GT with 12lbs of boost should've put up a better fight to a N/A LS1. In the 1st race, GT obviously spins out of the *** and then lets off. In second race you still left him pretty bad. I was expecting him to be right there on your tail. Maybe GT needs a driver mod?
