Default 12 year old LT1 vs APS TT C5...
To be a little more accurate, the 12 year old Z28 is a supercharged (D1SC) 383 LT1, vs a 99 LS1 Methanol Injected APS TT C5. Both cars are over 500 RWHP.

why did you put 12 year old LT1 in the title? That 383 isn't 12 years old!!!! BTW Love the wheels on the Z.

The car is 12 years old, and actually some parts in the 383 are 12 years old as well. Thanks for the compliments.

, you guys crack me up. A 500+ RWHP race, and you guys talk about chirping brakes, and honking.

The loud brakes were on the Z. They are actually brand new. Yes they are loud, but when you step on the brake pedel, they make your eyes want to pop out of their sockets. I'm not sure if I'll use them again, because of the noise, but they are by far the most aggresive brake pads I have ever used.

I am running with a few more ponies than the TT C5. The C5 owner previously lived in NJ. He now lives in IL. His car was done by CT Corvettes (in CT), so he flew back to pick up his car, drove the car straight from the shop to my house, and then we ran them.

Was the guy in the Vette afraid to stick his foot in it or something? Not saying you couldnt or shouldnt have won but you would think with that kind of power the race would have been a lot closer than the pure out slaughter in the video.

I can assure you both cars were at WOT. Again, the Z28 has had a LOT of work done to it, and has a bit more RWHP than the TT C5. Thats the reason for the slaughter.

lol, he new it was go time after the 3rd honk. His tires skirched just after mine did. Even if he skirched his first, the end result would have been the same. Thats another reason we raced twice, just to show it wasn't a fluke.
