Well lets see, its more like 425hp or 365-380rwhp stock. Exhaust and intake and your at about 415-420rwhp and pullied which is $80 is about 450-460rwhp with equal torque. Ported and upper and lower pullies and your at 500-515rwhp with equal torque.

I respect GM for going the NA route which is why I chose my SS over the 03 a few yrs ago but 03-04 Cobras are awesome cars. Just too heavy for me and Mustangs are a dime a dozen. Otherwise I would prob own one.

My cousin has had 2 03's, a Redfire pullied/bolton car and a SB Whippled car he recently sold. The interior ergonomics were just 2 fucked for me. I was going to buy an 04 Cobra when I bought the STI but that is what killed it for me was the interior layout. That and the fact I see a Mustang every other car with a chick or a teenage idiot driving it. I still look for decent deals on terminators in White, DSG or Mineral grey.

And as for your pricing comment, my car new in 2001 was 35k with every GM and SLP option and It only had 345hp although it did dyno 317rwhp 330tq stock.. My STI was 34k new after options like floor mats and the radio which were the only available options and it "only" had 300 hp. Price arguments are for ricers. Dollar for dollar to 500rwhp the Terminator owns the LS1. After that, all bets are off though.

They dont have blowers, they have Eatons. They suck. Put a real blower on it and you can easliy see 600-650rwhp on pump gas and 700+ with race fuel.....out of 281ci! Some FI LS1's dont even do that. You wasted 10 pages on this?

The last Ported Eaton that Rick (Amazon racing) did made 541rwhp. A ported eaton is $500! Show me that with your ride. No hard feelings.

As for best stock 03-04 cobra times, Evan smith from MM&FF ran a 12.43 at around 112 in one. He also ran 12.89 at 109 in a stock Z28 as well. Best I have seen him run in a Mach is 13.2 or 13.1 i believe at only 104 or so id have to recheck the issue. Either way My cousin's whippled cobra he recently sold was the baddest car I have ever been in. Until my nitrous kit arrives anyway.
I should be the last person saying this, but do we race dynoes around here? I don't think we do but I could be wrong about that..

There's a local guy thats very well respected on many mustang boards that went mid to low 12's in a bone stock 03 Cobra and went low, low 11's with just bolt ons. And there are several videos of Mach 1's on the net running low 13s stock.

Terminators are a great package, especially for the price. The bang for the buck is fantastic, and the cars freakin' perform. Anyone who says otherwise is either ignorant of the facts, or they are just one of those people who refuses to admit there's something better out there than whatever they have.

That's exactly what was sticking in my mind when I saw this!

Of course I'll agree (and you'd have to be a bit of a fanboy not too really) that stock for stock being driven properly the Cobra will put a couple of lengths on a LS1 car, but they make it sound like buslengths!!! That just kind of got under my skin a little...

I've spent some seat time in my buddies '03 and they are great cars, but they are most definitely not the be all to end all that some people make them out to be. They have their issues just like any other vehicle out there.

That being said...I would buy one in a second if I could afford to keep both my cars!!!

I really like the cars a lot, and I'm not trying to **** any Cobra owners off here, but the whole WAY past a Camaro thing just got to me a little I guess...I suppose I'm a bigger fanboy than I thought....

The Blower vs. N/A argument is dumb, its just different methods. A Ford guy would just rebuttle that with the fact that we have more cubes and weigh less, GM guy would argue that a 346ci DOHC car would make tons more power than a pushrod so that doesnt count, Ford guy would say that the IRS makes the launch suck, and it just keeps going. They are different cars, get over it.

So that's why my car had 152.7 miles on it when I picked it up from the dealer..
