Was not a bad ramp design at all... With a slight shift of your weight you can go over the lip, or too far down the face. In this case, his weight was off and bailed. Most the time you have to get your knees under you and slide down the face on them, but he was too far out from the ramp to do that.

He was doing a 720 over the gap then attempting a 540. He got speed wobble because he was hauling everloving ***. If you watch the second video linked you'll see how the board is wiggling under his feet on the flat of the ramp right before he hits the vert section and as soon as he hits the vert section the board wiggles out from under his feet. He's not centered over the board when he goes airborn and doesn't have a way to control his weight and at that speed there isn't much you can do about it but pray to God you dont get dead because you're going up and you're going to come down but dont know where. That was a nasty, nasty fall, especially to take right on your tailbone. I skated for a long time and took some good spills in my day with two cracks in my skull to prove it but that is just amazing how he even got up from that and walked away.
They said he fu**ed up his kidney, ribs, lung, bruised spinal cord, and suffered from whip lash! Those injuries are still minimal based on how far he fell...i thought his *** was either dead or paralyzed for sure lol.
