My brothers new third gen He bought it about a week ago
its got the L98 with Headman longtube headers, hi flow cat, and a hooker cat back. it also had 130,XXX miles which I dont think its too bad.
I dont know too much about the L98 but with those mods I think it would give my stock LT1 a fun for its money

If he can drive halfway decent at all he wont give you a run for your money; he will beat you. I never had a problem with LT1s on the street from a stop or a roll until one of my stock injectors started going bad.
looks pretty nice for the mileage. Tell him to head over to www.thirdgen.org he'll be able to find all the information he needs regarding modding it. With a few mods that car could easily be in the low 13's.

yea he is a member over at thirdgen.org i think he is actually uses the "oifish" user name there im sure he will soon have a post over there talking about it.
and 1bdbrd what type of mods did your L98 have to take down the LT1's? was it stock? because I have heard that the L98 has more torque than the Lt1 but its down on horse power
like I said though I dont know too much about that engine.

Looks like a clean 3rd gen. Any interior or underhood shots??? Thats usually where the 3rd gens are lacking. Interior parts are becoming scarce...so finding really clean interiors is a good thing.

yea the interior is complete and actually very clean, but he was moving into a house for college so the inside was packed with stuff, the engine is also pretty nice looking but I diddnt think to take a pic.

I had a 88 5.7 IROC with a SLP cam, Edelbrock shorties, auto and 2.77 stock gears (9-bolt) while my brother had a 95 LT1 with some kind of headers, BBK 52mm TB, Hypertech tuner, M6 and 4.10 gear. We ran them on the street from a dig 2 times. 1st run about 1/2 car him and the second I couldn't tell ya. I think it was very very close. But anyhow, great looking car. Makes me miss mine a little.
