Keep in mind, Edmunds is not known for posting great test #'s either so this car def has more in it with a skilled driver.
On another note, the exhaust note sounds much better on this car than prev Vipers IMO.

Also for reference sake, they tested a C6 Z06 on the same day on the same track (Motor Trend). It ran 11.8@121.6 to the Vipers 11.7@124.4.

how come the guy says for 2 decades the dodge viper blah blah blah..... that implies 20 years they havent been making them for that long didnt they come out in the mid 90's.... and that thing makes 100 more ponies than the zo6 has 2 more cylinders and costs close to $15-20k more and is only 1 tenth faster hahahahah funny....loser dodges.... ughhh i hate dodge so much.... they are sooo

Like VIPERS more than Vettes...I live near[3 blocks] 8 dealers..only high end..[porsche to aston martin to Ferrari to rolls to lambo's] SEE all sorts of NICE IMPORTS.. ...and I see 10 vettes a day if I venture 10 miles away...I rarely see any Vipers.... 
...sound is not great..

IMO the LSX based engines are the best on the market for what you can do with them how they sound you cant beat it... v10 or not... 1992 would mean 4-5 years front now (depending how you look at it) it would be 2 decades... they are just trying to make it sound like that car has history like a corvette or a mustang... as for the ZR1 deal... stingray would have been cool... but its better than corvette SS (lame).... it really doesnt matter what i think anyway cause ill never be able to own one so who the hell cares just thought id rant a little stir up some conversation....

Trying to get that car to launch with that much torque coming on so strong is hard to knock down kick butt ET's. On street tires, all you'll end up is smoke and a decent et. Awesome car, love it.

That would be an awesome race, we all know how good a LS Motor is from a roll in pure stock form let alone a LS7.
Oh yeah, let's not forget that the Viper has about 310lbs more than the Vette.

I love Vipers and this one is better than ever. Unlike the Vette which you see tons everyday the Viper is more of an exotic that you only see on rare ocasions. I would never even consider a Vette if I had the cash for a Viper.
