What kind of Camera do you have?

im going to buy a New camera. I really dont know what kind i should get.

post what kind of camera and a pic you took with that camera.

update oct 8th. I bought a Canon Rebel xt the other day.

i took pics of my Brothers Trans am..(Moe_taws6)

Damn, I'm more partial to Canon, so that may be my next camera or the Nikon D40 since my POS Samsung 10mp just completely broke.

yea the reviews on the Nikon D40's and D50's are pretty good..

I think im ordering one this week..

Nikon seems to have the best.

Getting a good camera only means you need to learn how to use it and/or some editting software..

None of my photos are touched up in Photoshop, but the 3 beach pics are all taken using shutter speeds, etc.. No flash on any of them.. A tripod is a must.. Those were taken sitting on a chair..

Depends on what type of camera you would be comfortable using. Many of the latest compact point and shoot can give great results and are easy to use and carry about. For the a pro approach a DSLR would be the way to go but they take a bit of learning and are pretty bulky and heavy especially if you carry different lenses. I went the middle ground approach with a 6MP Canon S3 iS. A sort of smaller DSLR in style with some great features like the swivelling screen and 12X optical zoom. It has now been replaceed by the S5 iS which has 8MP. Just do some research and try a few out before you decide. If you dont like it you can always sell it and get something else.

I am looking for a smaller camera that takes great pics to put in my flight case.. I always find myself wishin' I had the camera in the cockpit with me..

Nikon D50.

If you're shopping for a DSLR, keep in mind that MP isnt everything. The only thing that MP dictates is the size of prints you can make. In other words, you dont really need any more than maybe 8mp unless you are going to be making LARGE photo prints or posters. Remember this and it will keep you from spending extra money on something you dont need.

Heres a few shots i have taken, no post-processing other than resizing and maybe a little sharpening.

How did you get that lightning shot? That is one thing I want to start doing is some shots of lightning..

Tripod, 30sec exposure, aperature wide open. The lightning was pretty sporadic, so it was basically hit the shutter, and hope some lightning strikes. I got several good shots doing this. Heres another one.
