My Dads New 2007 C6
My dad just 2 weeks ago traded in his 2004 Nissan 350Z and got the car of his dreams, the Chevrolet Corvette. Its a 2007 6-speed auto with paddle shifters, black leather interior. Previous owner had it for 8 months and racked 13K miles, now its my dads turn to rack up the next 100K. He has always wanted a vette and now its his time to enjoy himself. My mom actually convinced him more than i did. Here are a few pictures after i washed it this morning, and a couple of my car so she wont get jealous.

He got the car for 37500, well more like 38K or 39K out the door after taxes and fees. The paddle shifters are a bit weird, but they are a blast to use while you drive. Its weird since you can upshift and downshift from both sides, but i use my left hand to downshift and the right to upshift. Its a great car and my dad loves everything about it, and i really enjoy just cruising in it. Its an odd feeling since with my WS6 i haul *** and im having a great time, but in the vette just cruising i have a good time.

He traded a mid 14 second car for a potentially low 12 second car, that also outhandles the Datsun! And yes, I know it's subjective/personal preference, but I also think it KILLS the 350 in the looks department as well.

Looks like 3 of us have that color. This color definately grew on me. After a nice wax job, this color is stunning at night and in the daytime in the sunlight it is sick. Hey here is a trick for the paddle shifting.......It shifts alot quicker at WOT if you hold the plus in the whole time and right when you want to go to the next gear...release then press plus again until the next gear, repete through 5 gears and you will be having a blast . There are a few other things. Press the traction control button twice and you have a new mode on your info center. Hold it in for about 10 sec. and you have the competitive driving mode activated. That is the best setting, doesnt regulate HP but it makes you drive the car 10 x's better. Now, after your done driving and you still have the car on, hold in the page button for the HUD and it reads back the highest G's that you pulled on that trip. YEAH BABY, the Vette rocks.

Cam it? Yeah i wish, im having a hard time trying to convince him to just put an exhaust on it. If i want to cam a vette, i'll have to get rid of the T/A and get my own C6. Oh and i found the competitive driving mode with my brother on the first day. I was playing with the button and took off traction control, then i wanted to put it back on but when i saw competitive driving mode i said f*ck that im leaving that on.
