The GT500 Did have a the camera man but the Vette Had tires, rims, and jacks in the back of his car cuz they we heading to the track so I think that makes up for his passenger.

GT500 are awesome cars but C6 ZO6 is a diffrent level.

I had an 02 Z06 by at least 50rwhp and just barely pulled him by a car length through about 130mph.

My car with driver weighs close to 4000lbs...his race weight, 3300 .

 

cars like that are not about performance vs dollar.

Great vid! Both cars sound awesome and look killer! Definately a little disappointed given the extra horseower that gt500 had, that it didn't give the vette a better race, but still a very fast bad *** car!

 

Yea, we would have gotten a look at the front of the gt500 rather than the back of the Z06.

 

GT500 got the jump in both races too. Love the way the C6Z sounds!

for the record the gt500 dynoed 669 @ 18 psi and was carrying the camera man. it was said that the gt500 was carrying ~800 pounds more than the z06.

 

what video are you watching? the first vid was at the same time and the second race the z06 took the jump

 

So a new 5.4L KB GT500 on 20psi with 134 more rwhp gets beat by an ALL MOTOR cammed/bolton C6 Z06??

Read the whole thread. Specifically the part where they state the Cobra had over 800#'s of dead weight on the Vette. Makes sense to me.

 

1st video: You hear the GT500 hit it(blower scream) and the z06 right after

2nd video: 6 seconds in both cars up shift into gear. Then the rear of the C6Z is lined up near the camera. You can hear the GT500 hit it and almost immediately after you can hear the scream of the LS7.

Maybe I can hear it better because I use headphones? I'm also not trying to say it was a huge jump or anything like that. You can just hear the GT500 take the hit.

 

Really, so the KB GT500 that dynoed 669rwhp at 20psi isnt on par with a KB Terminator? I find that hard to believe.

 

GT500 I think it is so funny that a V8 mustang with that kind of power adder gets smoked by a NA vette. Without a blower or turbo the mustangs really aint ****.

Were there five dead bodies in the back of the GT500? Or do you mean just the curb weight of the cars? 134RWHP is a lot, and if I saw the numbers of the two cars before the race I would have put my money on the GT500.
