If GM brings the F-body back... they just need to let it freely compete or get ahead of the Y-body... leave the Y-body as the "refined" version and leave the F-body as the raw, brute power with looks to match...

The automotive industry will get a clue after the flop of the 2005 Mustang. Retro works, but not for long. Look at the T-Bird and the PT-Cruiser.
They sell in the beginning but then the sales trickle down.
GM should build a Camaro with slight hints to its heritage, but make it a more modern car. That is what we need.
If you are looking for a new Camaro that has the looks of a first gen but with all the modern fixins, build yourself a G-Project.
Think of it this way, if the 5-th gen looks very much like a first gen, is the 6th gen going to look like the 2nd gen? Kind of uncreative don't you think?
Take, for example, the 350Z. They brought it back with no hints to earlier models. It is a completely new car, but with the same idea behind it. We need the Camaro to be like that. It should come back as a totally modern new car. Not a remix of the first gen.
We DONT want the Camaro to die again an a few years, remember? We want this car to actually live...
But, hell, I'd buy one too, but wouldn't expect there to be future Camaros.

No you are wrong the 2005 Mustang will sell just as well as their current models. The 2005 Mustang looks absolutely incredible. We can just wait till after the '05 Model year and wait to see who is correct.
I sure as hell think it is a beautiful car and want it to be a success, don't get me wrong, I just think a modern, sportier look would be better.
Again, all my opinion.

If they acually made this I would get one! It seems GM doesnt have a clue on making newer cars but this one is pretty nice. And it doesnt look like GM stole the Modena looks, GM is dumb for the SS that looks just like the RX8. I wonder what the back looks like? I would just make some kind of custom grill to improve the front a lil. And they should make the headlights a little newer looking instead of those, they look like they just took some off a 67 Camaro. I like that older look but needs something more newer with the head lights. Maybe some kind of projector style or change the shape a little?

Bah, just build your own 1st gen with all new, modern parts. It will be cheaper and the value will go UP each year. Thats what I'm doing, not waiting for GM.
