Actually I could see GM making something like that... Just to tease us with, and display it at shows, all while knowing they'll never bring it into production. They've done this with thousands of cars, if not hundreds of thousands. DAMN YOU GM!
Oh well, I'd still prefer a 1st generation Camaro like Mark Stielow's or Jonas Wikström's!

BIg Blocks in production are dead, we all know that, but it would be nice. Asking for a big block in a 21st century car is like asking to bring back the Carb.I think with this car, GM needs to step the covette up to numbers that of the high end Ferreris and Lambos. When the new Vette comes out nextyear than all our questions will be answered to the type of performance the Camaro will produce. They should bring the camaro back as a street and strip deamon from factory! If they do this then the camaro will live again.

Re: 2006 Camaro SS pic
Its nice. It could be a lil more areo dynamic in the front. Way to low for a production car. But atleast it has the right sized wheels to fill the fenders. You can link every generation F-body to the previous 1st-2nd, 2nd-3rd, and 3rd-4th but no skipping generations along the way. The tail lights should be the same color and patternt, but just a different shape. And it should be 4 headlights upfront (like the LT1/LS1 cars)

Exactly!
I just attended the Oldsmobile Club of America Nationals in Cincinnati, Ohio last weekend and GM had a few Olds concept vehicles there.
Saw this Alero:
I had alway hoped that GM would have brought back something from Olds that would be based on the F-body platform. Put an LS1 engine, 6 speed trans and make it RWD. Put a couple of "W-30" badges on it and the W-25 style OAI hood scoops and put them out on the lots. I think the Alero above would have been darn cool with a LS1/T56/RWD platform.
Then there was this Intrigue:
And one of my all time favorites. The FE3X concept car from 1985:
That car was capable of 1G cornering. It still had the pathetic 307cid engine but they had isntalled a 5 speed manual, Recaro buckets, 5 point safety harnesses, and an adjustable rear spoiler.
They also had a yellow Intrigue at the show with ram air and side exit exhaust. It looked down right mean.
What made everything more disappointing is to walk across the street and see a Pontiac Aztek. How that piece of crap ever got out to the public and the above cars didn't is beyond me.

Re: 2006 Camaro SS pic
that front end looks like complete and total crap looks way too outdated they need to sleek it out and make it more aerodynamic but the rest of the car seems nice....pics are one thing but id have to see one in real life to judge it!
