Late Night GTO PP Experiment If you run a google search on Dave Hill Photography you'll find all sorts of crazy images. He does amazing work with lighting and creates some surreal, "high definition" types of photographs. I found a tutorial on how to somewhat copy-cat his style a little and while it doesn't work out perfectly it does do some cool things, and combined with a few tweaks to the process on my own I came up with this just playing around in post half asleep and completely exhausted...
Granted this style does look heavily post-processed, and it is, but you have to begin with a solid image or it looks completely awful. It's not something I'm going to be doing all the time, and it is ceratianly something that works better on people rather than cars, but it was just something fun to mess with before I turned in for the night.
This makes me want spring to hurry up and get here so I can get the CCWs back on the GTO and start enjoying it again.

Thanks guys. Yeah mcheap, every tutorial I found has some less-than-decent results, so I had to do some tweaking to the methods to get the end result I had in my mind when I started. I found following every tutorial I could find just washed out the image, induced a ton of noise, and made it look basically horrible, but they did have a few good tips on the high pass filters and blending options that were useful to help me get where I got with this one.
