Default Drag Racing on Ice

Or it seems to look that way. Guess they don't know what track prep means in Houston.

Must have lots of money to see plenty of cars in front of you hitting the wall because of conditions and going "ahh **** it lets do this."

Pure stupidity, Im afraid to park my car during cruises and shows. Let alone go to the Texas Ice Rink and try to make it down the track. I dont think I get it.......

that's not ice, it dosnt get that cold here to ice up, maybe 32-33....but by then you would be able to tell watching the people's breath steam up. that looks like it had some slick spots here and there on that track becuase the 60 was pretty prepped to doing big hooks like that

Yeah it looked like they prepped the 60' and took a long smoke break... I seriously hope that wasn't all in one night. I haven't ever seen that many people just randomly spin right after the trap...

I've been to HMP several times and that track doesn't look like it. Is that a different track?

You can tell thats not all 1 night, 1 scene people are wearing shorts and t's and other scenes theres diff. people wearing pants, hoodies, and jackets. I think its just a video of people eating their ****. It rarely ices up down here so WTF.........AND even if the ground was close to being frozen the drivers are stupid for even attempting a pass. I sure as hell wouldnt be drag racing on frozen roads.

There is no ice on the track. For some reason, the HMP racing surface has really gone bad. I have seen video after video after video of wrecks there. From what I read on another site, it seems the water table is really high around HMP and it bleeds thru the racing surface. It's really crazy. I hope they find a fix for it. But with all the rain in that area lately, it's only going to get tougher.

If you ask me prep on the far end is just as important as prep off the line when it comes to the faster cars........ or at least keeping it dry.

Id never race there.....

I hate to see waste. That strip needs some serious work.
