i was gonna go this past friday but it was a huge supra national event or something going on here so i went out to play around with some cars.
i will be at the track on friday though so we will see what happens

damn man i saw you out there that night, i had told my friend that something spooled real nasty behind us and i saw it was a black dsm. good stuff man. i was in a green supra and a silver ss with black rims. that cobra was pretty fast.

Fast 1g for sure.I have a highly modded up 2g ..1997 awd talon but it spun bearing last season and is waiting for repair this spring. 2.4 fully done up but smaller turbo than you have.Forced performance 3065. Car is street not track car. Am building though a track only 91 talon awd auto. Autos make the best 1/4 mile car. Am still deciding on turbo..likley gt35R is enough for that one or possibly t67. Goals are 10s for sure dont really want to go 9s too much extra crap at nhra tracks for 9s..think you need a special liscence?
I love both the dsm cars..thats talon/laser/eclipse and my f bodies. But still say impressive as a turbo 4 banger is a turbo v8 or v10 or v12 is still better!
But awd is awesome for sure. I have a couple of fwd laser turbos and while they are light the awd is the killer off the lights and especially around town. Fwd needs slicks pretty much to hook up once you go up pretty high in power.

man that car hasnt seen pump gas in a long time good luck trying to get me to put some in there for you.
hahahahaha jk i might just have to show you what the differance is between awd and rwd when your on the bottle im just gonna have to hope that i jump out far enough to keep you away.

God I miss mine, should have never sold it for an STI in 03. **** back then the T3/T4 60 trim I had was considered big for the street. Now guys have bolton GT35's etc...
I built the motor in the thing after I spun a rod bearing on the stock shortblock. On initial startup it took out the thrust bearing. Crankwalk FTL. After 1400 to fix that on top of the 4K I paid for the motor to be built, I kind of lost my taste for DSM's. The 4 clutches in 5 yrs and 1 tranny didnt make things much better.
I sold the car after buying it new in 98 in 03 to buy a new STI. In hindsight I should have kept it. I still have dreams that I still own it or I bought it back atleast once a month.

its tricky getting use to it but once you get use to it, it is amazing. if you try driving a synchrod (sp) tranny after you get use to it the synchro trans feels wierd like it doesnt want to go into gear. and be careful i have done it a couple times if you miss a gear it will go into the gear. you could put it back into 1st at 100mph if you really wanted to there is nothing keeping it from going in any gear.
it is deffinatly an amazing trans once you get use to it.
