Paul Efantis drove his Toyota Supra to a new world record by ripping off an 8.25 second quarter mile at 170.8 m.p.h in his BFG's.

^on 20's? If you're talking just any size tire doesn't that record belong to this turbo foxbody, 7.408 @ 197.62.

I don't think you guys are understanding that this was done on regular tires, not drag radials.

Yes, 20" wheels/tires. No drag radial....regular street tire....i.e. Michelin Pilots, Perelli P Zero, etc....

Which one of his supra's did he do this in, the light blue 6-speed or the dark automatic drag radial car? If it's the automatic car that thing has done 7.88 on dr's. The fastest I've seen a 6-speed supra on DOT tires go is 8.75 by the white titan 6-speed car. And the fastest 6-speed supra period is boost logics at 8.49.

Yea, the light blue one (I think)..... I work at a tire center and i remember reading about a supra that broke a DOT legal tire speed record in one of my BFG books. I just looked it up on BFG's website and i wrote down what it said in my first post above.

Ah, I looked that up as well as soon as I read your post. That 8.25 was just an nopi record. MSP has done 7.90 on BFG radials and 7.8's on m/t drag radials. The car was light blue at the time of the run you found, it's dark blue now. Definately the baddest drag radial supra around.

Yes, he is...Wolfe's car is the fastest car on drag radials (that I know of)...
definitely not on a street radial. VERY different.
