Name one record holding drift camaro or trans am! Obviously you have no idea what you are talking about. Like I said they are no good for drift and rally. Go ahead and drift a 3400 pound car. I'll smoke it with a s2000 in drifting, just the nature of the beast. Also please notice how I said not many. Ford isnt muscle. They are pieces of **** that need superchargers to be fast.

LoL my car isnt muscle? I'm not even done with it, but this is coming from someone who has to have a supercharger on it. Because when i think of muscle, I think of superchargers....LAME! I am talking about a naturally aspirated car, even still I bet you cant even drive your 620 hsp. car. If you have to run 19 psi and are only getting 620, someone didnt build it right.

Let me guess...your 12 second beast is muscle?
You need to go educate yourself and watch some Hot Street
events. Even the Factory Stock guys will walk all over your car.
You do understand that Ford dominates damn near ever race
right? Drag radial is owned by Ford. Pro Outlaw is owned by Ford.
Super Street Outlaw is owned by Ford. Etc, etc, etc. The LSx
cars aren't in the same universe in terms of ET or traps.
Wake up to reality.
Here's a nautrally aspirated car built by SAM racing (students)
that runs 8.70's @ 154mph.

I figure I'll throw my.02 in. I've had GMs my whole life, but the reality is in the early to mid '90's the fox body mustang brought about the existence of "Ford" based sanctioning bodies (NMRA,FFW,etc.) that spread like wildfire. The fox chassis was ideal for drag racing-lightweight,factory strut/4 link suspension, good factory rear, therefore not taking alot of power to go fast/stay together and quite honestly GM didnt have a comparable car. These "ford" races cater(ed) to every class of racer from the current factory stock to SSO,so whatever your budget allowed you could still race and compete. GM guys everywhere were jumping on the bandwagon(myself included) to build a "class" car BECAUSE there was no "GM only" heads up racing circuit(except "Super Chevy"bracket racing classes) and the current LSX races incorporated into the NMCA circuit. Now had the LSX platform "peaked" like the Foxbody Mustang things may be different,IDK. We ran NMRA for several years and I'll tell you they have quite the following, and with that comes R&D on several levels from Engine builders to chassis designers, Sponsors, etc, etc. Speed will always be power/weight and getting it down the track, Ford or GM, BUT the availability and popularity of races/events is where you find the fast cars AND People. I'm not brand loyal in any shape or form and I obviously love the LSX engine/platform, they make GREAT "fast" street cars but do have limits. If I were still into sanctioned heads up racing I'd have a Fox platform Mustang sitting in the Shop...WAIT I still do!LOL!
Anyway not trying to start a Brand war here, both have pro/cons and I personally love them both. OK I'm done now!

LOL you are talking about a ford gt motor? LOL! You obviously havent seen the 464 LSX block. It run's 8.9 motor and low 8's on a very conservative 200 shot so far. Probably even better than that. So yeah GM is much better than Ford. Oh as for the ZR1 Why on earth would someone drift a $90k version of a car if I can buy a regular camaro Z28 and mod it completely for 35 or 40? That doesnt make sense to run a ZR1 especially considering its rarity. Oh and as for the GTO's they are not the same as the F-body's either that I have been referring to since we are talking about camaro's. The GTO's have independent rears unlike camaros which have solid rear axles. which once again are 10x better for strightline than drifting
Bottom line is who ******* cares what comes factory or not......Everyone knows its whos got the most money wins. Go get your 464LSX block with a 800 shot and race a big turbo mustang. Im sure Millen or Lynch would love to drag that *** in the 1320........My point is anyone can make a car fast for whatever reason.....who ******* cares if its a daily driver, race car, drifter, dragster, GM or Ford, Supercharger or N/A. I have both entities sitting in my garage right now and I like both of them for diff reasons (ok the Mustangs a little more fun)..........So do EVERYONE a favor, get over your self and make your shitbox what ever you want......no one cares.........

Wow you obviously are a newbie to racing. Money doesnt matter if you cant put the power to the ground. So you think just having money means those dollar bills are gonna walk around your car and set up your suspension and shift the tranny for you and do your burn out. You definitely need to stay out of the discussion.

Who will win?
Money buys EVERYTHING.That includes suspension and a proffessional driver to drive your fast car in case you're bad at it.
All of your statements stink of close minded fanboy-ism...

That last comment is not in the same universe in terms of anything factual ever said in the history of man kind.
That's a nice 8 second mustang, but I'm sure there are 8 second civics built out there as well.

9 second naturally aspirated daily driven Ford's for you?
...and I'm the idiot. Please.
Again, wake up to reality. We all love the LSx platform. But the fact
of the matter is that they just can't compete at the highest levels
right now. Maybe someday, but it's going to be quite a few years.

etc. You'll know my comments are true when you can't find one. I'm a huge
fan of the LSx stuff...trust me on that...but I'm also a realist.
It was one example of thousands.

I don't know the rules of these organized events so I'm not gonna comment on them.
I said your last comment, the one in bold black letters.
The only reason why I'll say that there are probably more FOX bodied 9 second mustangs out there is because they're an awesome canvas for a drag racing car. But F-bodies aren't far behind.
I don't know how often you go to the track, when I do, I see mostly old F-bodies and Fox bodies.
Bullshitting aside, you and I don't really know how many 8 second cars each side has.
A quick search from SVT performanced showed only ONE person in in the 8 second mark. Supercharged Fox.
On LS1tech I know of at least 4, 8 sec NA cars.
Sure, there are plenty out there who don't post their cars online. But again, we just don't know.
So your comment about LSX not being the same universe as Fords is wrong.

about message boards and magazines.
BTW...you mis-interpreted my comment about LSx's not being in the same universe.
That applied to drag radial, SSO, Pro Outlaw, etc...and that couldn't be anymore
true.

You're the one who posted that picture of an 8 second mustang (on the internet).
But tell me this, are the guys who run 8 seconds on LS1tech and SVT performance lying? Many of them have videos and proof, but I doubt I'll have to go dig through that **** just to prove you wrong.
I never mentioned magazines.
Even though I did say that I DO GO TO RACES AND NOTICE THE AMMOUNT OF F-BODIES AND FOXES.
What difference does it make if I sat through every ******* drag race ever ran and counted the ratio of F-bodies to mustangs or not?
That's a redundant statement that proves nothing.
I didn't mis-interpretted anything. I don't really care if car A. which is faster than car B. can't win a certain competition because his tires are too wide. Organized events like that really don't indicate how much a car is better than the other.
