Funny race video from our track rental today
Unfortunately the sound did not come out how I had hoped and you can't really tell what's going on, so I'll explain quickly before you watch it. My brother is in the red Z28, I am in the pewter Z28. Both of us ran an 11.9 today and hit our goals during this track rental, so we decided to have a little fun.
You'll notice no launch from either of us but then all of a sudden we both punch it. That's because we rolled out to 10mph, he honked three and then we roll raced down the track. Unfortunately, you can't make out the sound of the horn in the video but it was a dead even start and the closeness of the cars can be seen in the "trap" speeds: his 112.41 to my 112.54. Every real race today was a driver's race between us and we both hit an 11.9, mine at 116, his at 117 (although we've both trapped higher previously). Enjoy.

Congrats on the 11's. What are your mods?

Thanks, guys. Just havin a little fun at the end of the day.
Crappy LS6 heads, a 224/228 cam, bolt-ons, 12-bolt with 4.10s, heavy driveshaft, built MN12 GTO tranny with shorter gears, and some suspension. Car put down 400/367 on a dynojet SAE, so it's a very mild H/C, but I'm getting to like it more and more as I keep seeing improvement and less stuff breaks on it. Eventually, I'll upgrade to a top end H/C/I package. Trickflows, Dominator 2, 92/92, but it's gonna be some $$$$.
My brother in the vid is a cam-only (mid 230s) with bolt-ons, 12-bolt with 4.10s, and some suspension. He put down 420/38X before the 12-bolt and before the pulley. His car runs STRONG, but I have a gearing advantage to keep him in check sometimes.
