You dont know much about racing do you? Traction, etc makes a difference! Not to mention a 700 rwhp truck pulling a 1.5-1.6 60 ft on the STREET is gonna be NASTY against a what, 350-380 rwhp car? If you cant understand what happened in the race, you havent been around it much. Ever been to the track and seen how much faster a 10 second car is vs a 12 second car?

Its all ways funny to hear the excuses or retarded remarkes made by vette, Fbody, and even dare i say it Ford owners when they get their asses handed to them by a truck........There is always someone faster wether you are in a vette, truck, fbody, mustang, or spaceship..........Dont get butt hurt whean a truck comes around you at 130 or better in third gear on the highway after you thought you were going to easily blow him off with your filter long tubes and tune ( personal favorite was pulling 3rd out to 158 racing an SS and passing him like he was tied to a stump at around 120 ).............just give him a thumbs up for handing you your *** with a truck that weighs more than 1500 lbs more than your rattle trap!

I raced a Furd GT and pulled on him till I let off at...

I don't think he was very happy about that!
Like thunderwagon said, there's always something faster than you.

Edit: Mustang GT...not Ford GT (I wish )

Let me get this straight, you HOPE to get into the high 10s, but you put a city block on a high 11s car? Something doesn't add up.

I have a nice story for you guys that might help explain the kill-factor of these trucks.

When I was in college, there was a pretty good street scene in Tampa. My friends and I would roll down there on Saturday nights and check out some of the racing and place some bets if we had some extra cash. More than anything, it was just a good hangout spot.

This one night, I'll never forget it, a guy in black late-model Silverado shows up and just sits there. No one really payed him much attention because the main focus was on the Vettes, F-bodies, and Mustangs racing. Well, one younger guy that used to show up there was driving a pretty nasty 93-97 Supra. It was well known to have 550+hp, and be one of the top contenders.

So, in his refined douchebag way, he went around challenging people to a 2/3 race for $500. No one accepted because of the intimidation factor of the Supra.

Well, out from the back of the crowd, the guy with the Silverado was sitting on his hood and yelled out "I'll race you" - everybody laughed at him. Figuring that this would be an easy $500 the Supra owner then exchanged cash with a 3rd party and they began to stage. Unfortunately for him, he didn't take a minute to look under the hood.

1st race from a Dig - Silverado won; Supra claimed he missed a shift; Redo
2nd race from a Dig - Silverado won by about 8 car lengths
3rd race from a Roll - Silverado won by about 5 car lengths

They both came back to the meeting spot, and the Supra owner and his friends immediately starting talking BS. They demanded to see what was under the hood of this totally unassuming truck. The owner obliged and opened the hood to find a 370ci with an S400 turbo. The truck had 2 inline mufflers and the wastegate was dumped into the downpipe to reduce the noise level. He also threw on a bogus trailer hitch and mudflaps for effect.

The best part of all though was his license plate: skamr.

Easy money...

The moral of the story is, don't pass off these trucks just because of their size. Power transference plays a huge factor into why these trucks perform so well. Do I believe the video? Absolutely, but had I not seen one kill a Supra I probably wouldn't have believed it either.

Thanks ap2002! You're exactly right...some people just have no idea what that kind of power and 4wd can get ya. Sure turns some heads!
Be careful with the stock T-cases i know of a couple guys down here w/ Z71's and some SS's that have had problems with their T-cases and dont have near the power you have

65-125 in about 10-11 seconds in your video, I am guessing mid 11's with a good 60'.

the vette slept, spun and got spanked bad.

Yeah that was a 10 psi pull on about 12-13 degrees of timing...
Runnin 16+psi with meth on 15-16 degrees now, so i guess i need to make a new video haha
That vette was nothing impressive, that's for sure...the GTO should hit 11's depending on traction though...

I have a similar story to tell,
My Low 11 Vette vs. a 13.7 @ 107 (at a prepped track) modded Ford Lightning pickup.
This dude wanted to race my for money and didn't even bother to look at my car.

My car hooks on the street his didn't what-so-ever. We raced from a light where he slept probably almost a second, spun, and got spanked. I shut my car down at about an 1/8 of a mile aka about 660 feet where I had about 400+ feet distance on him. Come to find out the next day that he was also spraying nitrous. What happened was he got nervous after he slept (I was at least a car on him before he even hit the gas) and mashed the throttle into wild wheel spin. His bottle was in a throttle switch. Dumb kid. Very Very similar to your video but flip flopped. He cried and wanted to run from a roll 3 more times where I beat him every time by about 6-8 cars.
Anyway, your video is totally believable obviously.
Next time race him from a roll also so see how close it would have been. I am sure you still would have won. Without a doubt that guy needs some track time.
Good kill on a **** poor driver and btw John Force wouldn't have beat you with that vette either.

Just so you know: If you had his truck motor in a fbody and could hook it would be a 9 second street car.
It is sick.
So buy your truck and get another Job or 2 so support the mods needed.

Please dont take offense OP, Its just these kids that think a few bolt ons make 100's of HP. They Dont.

You guy's need to also think about the elevation where they are racing. If they are in NM at~4500' elevation that vette is lucky to be a low 14 sec car on the motor. With a 75~100 shot he is going to be low 13's at best, with traction. Turbo's don't take near the hit at altitude, so you are watching a mid 11 sec truck vs a likley mid 13~low 14 sec vette if he spunn at all.
