Why was that such an ignorant response? I actually responded the same way when I read your statement. Granted he is a shop owner, but the truth is your statement was bold and funny at the same time. Thanks for the background on the "greatest" tuner.

someone the best in the business. There are so many experts that do the tune ups in pro stock, pro outlaw, top fuel, etc. Someone tuning
for Jim Bell probably doesn't belong in the same category IMO.
Regarding the power output of this car (722rwhp), that might not seem like a whole lot to you guys...or to me for that matter...but a 720hp
turbo Cobra usually runs a hell of a lot harder than a 720hp twin screw Cobra.

OOOOLLLLLDDDDDD thread, but I figured I would sign up and at least say thanks for all the props. I have made quite a bit of changes since then. You can look on my FQuick for the FULL mod list, and in my sig or YouTube for some video. Best numbers so far were made on the STOCK motor with stock heads/cams...93 oct pump gas (no additives, TORCO, race fuel, etc.), no nitrous (even though equipped) and only 18 psi. We put down 780.6 rwhp at 6300 rpm. I should've kept it down until 7K rpm, but the tach needle was swinging so fast, I didn't want to hit the limiter. There are some pretty nice cars on here too!
And to the above ^^ You're right man, a KB/Whipple and some spray is hard to beat when hooked. Spray gives such a nice hit. Turbo lag was pretty terrible for me for a while...so I added a 100 shot to help them spool and a 175 shot across the intercooler to keep torque up through the run. I can't stress how IMPORTANT that is when doing a 5th gear pull at near 200 mph. High IAT's can cause detonation, so I'z keep idlow (LOL) with the spray and I added a Knock detection system/timing retard to ensure the motor NEVER comes apart.

Not true guys. The Helion kits have been around and continue to be around. You just don't see them often. I know of 3 right now...and two of them have won King of The Street in the last three years. 2010's winner made 1138 rwhp on E85 and ran 9.3x. A lot of guys dont prefer them because of how much heavier they make the cars...so the handling suffers. But, in a straight line....they're almost invincible.

Twin charged cars do great at car shows, but they aren't competitive in the real world. Are some fast? Sure, but they just don't run the numbers that they should. They would be quicker with just a turbo in most cases. As an example, a 9.30 is not good for a car that makes 1100rwhp.

Of course 1100 rwhp on a 2800 lb chassis car with full drag suspension and a built auto would probably go mid-low 8's...but we're talking a daily driver here. How many cars anywhere can do that? A dozen or so in the world maybe. It's like my car...everyone gives me crap because I don't post 9 second timeslips. It's not because the car can't do it, it's because I don't drag race. Cars are ALWAYS purpose built...these are no different.

UPDATE:
I have since built a new motor and added cams/mild port work and 3.27's. At 7K the car should make well over 820-830 on 18 psi and straight 93 octane. The knock system is the SHIZNIT! It can totally save your engine long enough for you to shut it down. Just a GREAT product and I couldn't be happier.
