Tom Nelson is the man. The 42K is not just for the motor. That 42K comes with the custom everything! A nelson motor will out last the car. He can build you a 1000HP+ motor that is reliable for daily driving.

quit bitching about the price people. You are paying for one of the best engine builders to custom build you a motor. If you are worried about 42k then you dont need a 1700hp car.

^ that is the most arousing thing i've ever seen

...and yes, NRE is probably the best in the country, if not, top 5 for sure. they build stuff people on this site dream about. 1000+hp, A/C, great street manors, and dependable to the end. if only i had the money....

Do you have any idea what goes into making a reliable 1600hp engine? Im thinking its a pretty good price compared to what Ive heard some people have in their Stock/Super Stock car's engine.

what's the point of paying for 1700hp when you know you will street drive the car 80% of the time? like i said, no point for paying 42k. i wasnt saying the motor isnt worth it, just not worth it if you are just going to street drive the car. if you had moeny and were going to race the car, then the 42k would be worth it. JMO

If you have the money and want to spend it then why not do it? I'm sure some of the owners of NRE engines will tell you they are worth every penny they cost.
