And nothing there is plural...no headS, manifoldS....etc. I mean, at least understand what you are yelling about.
I mean really, there's alot of tuning, alot of boost. The hemispherical combustion chambers on a 4cyl ensure a great effective burn, with 4 valves per cylinder.....its boost+tricks+ efficiency and a **** ton of talent. As far as weight, who knows what it actually weighs, or is altered other than what is covered up by 'interior'. As with any 9 sec car, the drivetrain sure isn't stock....it's just how it is.
IT's HP/weight, gearing, hooking it, and getting it down the track. If he can squeeze a # on pump (to which I've personally seen a local DSMs lay down 630 to the wheels on 93), then a little more, some extra tricks and you've got your number.
Remember it's the highest echelon of builders of these cars....it's alot like questioning whoever is king **** with LS1s and what they did on pump. NO, it's not 'normal' but like 95% of the general public aren't even close to that level, or only focus on 1 aspect. The other 5% are looked up to like Gods and that's just how it is.
Hell there's a local one of his BR Evo's in my hometown that's supposed to be like 1000awhp on 110. It gets damn near daily driven.

I say the heads on that engine are hand ported and have tons of hours in them, the exhaust manifolds are custom, the cams are custom speced.. the turbo is dual ball bearing.. basically a lot of custom work done.. thats the only thing I can think of. That being said I've seen that sort of money be put into a 4 banger several times before only for it to not perform much better.

You say you've seen that kind of money be put into a 4 cylinder only to see it perform the same or worse, wouldn't that be you saying (in a roundabout way) that it's a stout car and you respect it? So I guess I'm not on a high horse, in fact, I'm on the realistic horse and I can see that we have an extremely fast car running on pump gas from one of the best tuners in the country.
Now I hate to come off as an ******* and an import lover, two things which I am NOT, but I will come off as someone who can recognize and respect a truly awesome street car and also someone who will try to correct someone at all costs when they try to put me down or tell me I'm wrong when I know I'm 100% right.

And you're definitely an ******* (what you claim you come off as), at least online... Why insult people? Did someone put you down or call you names because maybe I missed it. You're just being called out for speaking, as we say, "beneath people's dignity," ("TOO-Ning," come on man, cheer up lol) implying that people are just learning two-syllable words or something.
Again... I have read up on DSM's many times pushing slightly over 600 awhp on pump, most on methanol... But they are not in the nines with full trim, accessories and interior, at factory weight either.

Truth is every once and a while something crazy happens and its unexplainable but true. This isnt going to discourage me at all. Im sure there was alot more put into this car then slapping some parts together and turning low 9s on pump.
