Okay, maybe it doesn't have to compete with the latest Speilburg film, but to go so far as to call it a "good video", I cannot.
It was good to see two cars go at it (as always), as the cars definatly were potent. Not disputing that at all. It's just when the potential to have a much better video made, especially with the potential of two very powerfull cars like this, it just gets me fired up.
That, and the Camaro driver couldn't shift worth sh*t!

I've almost got 100,000 miles on my stock T-56 in my 614 RWHP Camaro in my sig, and its never had any issues (and its track driven at least a half dozen times a year with slicks). My Formula and its 441 RWHP also is the stock T-56 with 109,000 miles and its still going strong as well. Granted I don't power shift, but the T-56's are good to WAY past 400 RWHP. The older T-56's in the 93-97 cars have shown to hold up to 750 at the wheels with no issues.

I guess anything can happen no matter how strong the transmission is. Driver error/non-error plays a huge role. I can see the driver in that vid being cautious and not shifting hard having new found power. I guess I was the same way. Soon after though I was beating the **** out of my stock t56 with over 700rwhp cause I didn't care anymore. I've never had any kind of sticky tire on the car however. Trans was perfectly fine up until I upgraded.
This guy can bang them gears though. Stock T56 too.

You got one un-lucky T-56 then. Countless guys are making 500+ RWHP in their stock T-56's with no issues.

Off topic isnt is true LT1 cars have there trans's from borg warner and all the ls1 6speeds are junk compared to them? My lt1 never had any problems with the trans I had a 383 ported lt4heads small cam and a 150+shot.
No probs here either

There is someplace (they may or may not be a sponser on here anymore) down in Florida I think, that can fabricate the bell housing and everything needed to make an LT1 T-56 work/fit into an LS1 car. That would seem to be the best way to go IMO.
