Bought it and had it dropped directly off at my engine shop. 2 weeks later when he opens it up, there are no lifters.
Contacted seller by PM, waiting for resolution but no response as of yet.
Start there. If nothing is moving towards a resolution then ship it back and file for a full refund.
Can't file for a refund, deal was done in cash in person.

He bought the motor from someone before he resold it to me. He bought it and never checked to see if there were caddy lifters in the motor, but listed it as HAVING caddy lifters. Then sold it to me never even checking to see what he was selling. Sold me something that he thought he had, but never had at all.
He said the only option he was willing to offer was to sell him the motor back for the sell price, BUT the motor had to be in the exact same condition as I had gotten it from him in. Well that is not do-able since the shop took the motor apart to rebuild it. He will not give me the money that it would cost to put the motor back together even though this was HIS mistake. He as a seller should have made sure all the parts he was selling were included since he listed it as being included in the ad he posted.
So basically he posted saying it had caddy lifters, never checked to see if it actually had caddy lifters, and sold it saying it had caddy lifters. Now he wants me to pay to fix his problem and return it to him at my cost for the labor to rebuild it.
