Slow z28/ss please respond..
I purchased a 4l60e from a board member.. slow z28/ss
said it was in good condition no issues...
anyways drove picked it up he had it strapped to a pallet wrapped in plastic..cool..
i get home unload in the garage never un wrapped the plastic or un strapped it. well weather started to change so i rounded all the parts i needed for the swap to the auto i ripped the six speed out and sold it and got everything ready to go..car on lift ready to go..
go to place the convertor brand new i got from circle d and didnt want to slide in all the way?? humm called circle d and said what was up gave me a few tricks to try and finally got it to slide down in (just stood it up and let gravity help push it down it..cool went to spin the convertor ****...the pumps locked up...wouldent spin nothing...junk..placed a stock convetor in had a lil trouble with that also.. but went in and **** locked up..
well looks like i got sold a junk tranny yeah just my luck...
so took it to my buddies that is a teacher for automotive college and teach's transmisson rebuilds..
a week later i get the war report this tranny is trashed..450 dollars in parts from circle d later the transmission is getting a full rebuild..
now i contacted slow z28/ss and said what was up and he was cool felt bad and i said to him hey since i basicly bought nothing more then a core from you. how about we split the differnace and send me 250 bucks back. and will call it even..
he was cool with it said he was sending a check out..yeah i got nothing wont respond to pm's and he has been online every day..
i hate posting crap here but i spent enough money on a transmission now i could of had a fully built one to start..

Here is the list of musts:
Front Pump Rotor and Slide Assembly with vanes and pivot pin = $65
Front Pump Bushing = $4
Overhaul Kit - Includes gaskets, seals, friction plates, steel plates = $150
2-4 Band = $30
Reverse Input Drum = $90
Beast Sun Shell with Sun Gear = $70/$50
Valve Body Spacer Plate = $30
Filter = $15
I don't know if this transmission has been modified with a shift kit. If it has, the spacer plate may be specific or may have been drilled to install the shift kit. I would then need those instructions for modification or a replacement of the shift kit plate. The front pump part was locked up it will need replaced, I would recommend and complete front pump body; the cover half is ok. The reverse drum is what the 2-4 band holds in second and fourth. It has slight irregularities due to heat generated from the slipping band. I would recommend replacing the drum. And as for the chip on the inside dont worry about that i have another one here i can replace it with.

i think i am being fair asking for at least 250 bucks back..since im having it rebuilt and useing it as a core and cores go for 100 bucks...
let alone the day i had to take off work and the gas in my truck to drive all the way to his house to get the tranny

i dont think he had it wrapped in plactic so i couldent look at it...i think he just had it so it could be shipped..no biggie im not gonna get into all that.or even want that rumor started...
im just glad i spun the convetor before i wasted the time putting everything in..
again in now way am i bashing him.just havent gotten any reponse back and sent him a bunch of pm's and seen he has been online..

ahh yeah....i bought the transmission loaded it up in my truck took it home slid it out still on the crate with it wrapped in plastic and banded..
continued to drive my car and enjoy it and gather the rest of the to parts i needed for the the auto swap..and then a thing called winter comes were everyone does there modding to there cars. put the car on the rack pulled the t56 out sold it and went to put the auto in......
pulled it out of my garage still wrapped in the plastic and banded..un wrapped it and cut the bands..
and here is were i am a **** to bed pump and a whooped tranny..its one thing to have a pump go out no biggie..there 40-70 bucks pull it out whip in a new one...
but when the transmission was torn down and the bands are shot the fluid is filled with nothing but grit grime and meterial...thats not a tranny in good working condition....
if it was just the pump i would of replaced and been done with it..but i purchased a transmission that was to be in good working condition and it wasnt...
im not bashing the guy im not calling him a bad seller..things happen..if i was selling an item.. and i claimed it was in good working condition and it wasnt i would refund the money back and take back the part..
im not asking for that all i asked for he it was junk no biggie ill get it rebuilt i bought a 4l60e core from you..i paid 350 core go for about 100 buck split the differnace send me 250 will call it a day..

Oh...and it's in perfect working condition. Just dropped it out and wrapped it up on a pallet with the converter.

never herd a word from this guy.............just got a cal today the perfectly working tranny that i was sold has now been rebuilt 450 bucks worth of needed parts later.................
at least the tranny builders were good people and ive known them for years..rebuilt it for free/case of beer..cause there sick of people screwing people over in the raceing world

man,, what the hell is up with Tech lately, everyones gettin ripped off left and right on here. Your compromise (and attitude) are very cool, the 250 is very fair (for Chris anyways) in my view of things...
