tailpipe is a SCAMMER
Cliff notes: guy agrees to sell me wheels and seals the deal with a reply in the thread, and agrees to even ship them out yesterday (Saturday). I am waiting on the Paypal address and he sends me a PM two days later saying "sorry sold the wheels".
WTF?
I am ******* TIRED OF DICKS in this section!

WTF is wrong with people these days?
But lets think positive and maybe it was a sign that you weren't supposed to buy any TT2s so maybe you should look into a different style of wheel...

This reminds me of a story I heard on the news: store owner is held up at knife point by a would-be thief. The store owner defends himself with a baseball bat and injures the thief. The reporter tries to make it out like the thief is the victim, and the store owner is a bad person for beating him up with a baseball bat. Well, guess what? The thief wouldn't have gotten his *** beat if he weren't trying to steal!!! It doesn't matter if he successfully stole something or just made a failed attempt.
Here's another example: let's say you call up a shop (not a private seller) and agree to purchase a part for a set price, and they only have one in stock. Before they charge your credit card, they get a better offer from someone else so they come back and say "sorry the price went up $300 or we sell it to someone else". As a consumer, wouldn't you want to know about practices like these when you were looking for a company to do business with? Think of the Better Business Bureau, it's the commercial equivalent of the feedback forum.
I'm losing my faith in people. You used to be able to complete deals with a handshake and your word, and regardless of future events the transaction would be carried through. Evidently this is no longer the case, behavior like tailpipe's is now acceptable and should be defended?
I am not complaining about missing out on a deal. The deal wasn't even that great: TT2's with Sumitomos for $1,200? Those are cheap *** tires, and I can order a brand new set of wheels shipped for less than that price.
Why does it feel like I'm defending myself here?
I will say the one thing that F***IN ****'s me off about this site is some of the people on here. I have been kicked in the *** by so many people its rediculous. Numerous times i've held onto parts for guys that "basically call dibs" and then 3 weeks go by and either they never call back, or are a no show on the day of pickup, etc. its BS but those people are out there.
All I can tell you is, as a seller on here, i sell to whoever sends the money over first. idc who says "I WANT WHAT UR SELLIN", whoever pays first gets it. Sad enough to say that it only took 1-2 A$$holes to ruin things for everyone.
Another fact to share: I tried to send money and these are the PMs exchanged after we agreed on the price:

Man I've had plenty of things sold from out under me as well, but thats life. Money talks, it doesnt matter if I agreed to there asking price or not.
