ls1crazy326 scammed me on a shifter
When I received it, the pivot ball was missing, so the handle was loose and you could pick up the shifter by the handle and shake it! Now, anyone who has some common sense would see a problem there, but that didn't stop him from sending it to me. The shifter smelled like something exploded inside the tranny and had a black metal/burnt fluid build up ring on the bottom.
I told him that we can work this out: he can have it repaired or give me a refund. He sent me the original receipt, but when I called Pro 5.0 they said that I have to have the old ball and I told them that I didn't have it because it was decentegrated and laying in the bottom of some T56 in million pieces.
ls1crazy326 (not mentioning real name, out of respect) seemed eager to help work out this issue, so I thought that I can wait to have the shifter repaired. Without the ball they wanted $60 machine shop time + materials to fix it. I told him that and he said that they told him that they will repair it for nothing.
After dealing with this for a month, I told him that I wanted a refund. He ignored me for a couple of weeks, until I called him and told him that I want a refund, and he agreed.
I sent the shifter back to him, and a few days later, the post office confirmed the delivery (I had a tracking number and delivery confirmation added to the shipping charges). He claims that he didn't receive it. Whether or not the package was lost after the delivery is not my fault. I still haven't got my money back and he's ignoring me again. I have his name, address, phone number, etc and saved all of our private interations.
I would appreciate the moderators' input on solving this issue, as well as any legal advice.
Avoid dealing with ls1crazy326 unless you want to be scammed like I was. I don't see what's so difficult about giving a refund on something that you knew was bad when you sold it!
