Ok, this happens all the time - he will get you your shift light and other parts, but it might take some time. Its worth the wait though.

I also ordered a shift light over 1 month ago. I knew about the wait, but this is getting ridiculous. He sure charged my credit card promptly though...

Yeah, forgot to mention that I've sent a few nice e-mails as well. Just asking how much longer etc.

No reply what so-ever......NOT good customer service at all even if you are running your own business by yourself.

Just a heads up for the guys looking for harlan. I had a problem last year and he was prompt to give me his telephone number to call him. He is an engineer and very busy. I order (2) two-steps from him and he was great. Give him some time. If you needed it in a rush, you should have mentioned it to him. He will however get you product to you in a timely fashion. Remember that yes he has a full time job and only does this on the side for those whom wish to use his custom products.

By the way Harlan: Everything worked out great. I recommend this to anyone that has a 6-speed.

Thanks,

LS1Joe

well since he hasn't replied to any of us, if you still have his phone number would you give him a call for us.

Yes that's a great idea, that way we are not all bothering him. One guy calls and can post updates here like his next shipment date.

Most of these "part time work at home guys" wait till they get a bunch of orders then build a batch of products then ship out at once.

I sent him a paypal about 3 weeks ago. Now a friend warned me that it would take forever, so at least I was fortunate enough to be forewarned. For these people who are waiting there is no excuse, no matter how busy to not at the very least give a quick reply to someone who’s money you currently have with no service rendered.

Not to mention having this on his website is fairly misleading when people go to place an order.

"2 Steps are in stock, and should ship within 4 business days
Lights and switches should ship in 7 to 10 days"

It is not like the backlog is something new or recent, everyone says he takes forever--so why isnt he at least upfront about it on his website?

Exactly, with a web site he could easily take 2 min and post up that he is back logged and it's more like 4-6weeks until you get your stuff. But you can bet he'll be Christmas shopping with all our money!

I ordered a shift light too, but I ordered it on Oct. 20th so it hasnt even been a month yet.
Im not in any hurry to get my light since racing season is over, I would be interested though just to know what kind of a wait time he is looking at.
Im sure he doesnt make a ton of money off these, and I bet he mostly does it to help Fbody guys out. Ive always been told there was a wait time and was prepared for it though.
