Quick question fellas..

From what I gather the op had a problem with an Engine. He then tore it down to find out what "he thought" would be the problem..right?

**** right there I would've been like **** off, .

If I send you something and you tell me it doesn't work..which in this world happens..then tell me, send it back if you want any form of compensation from me, and I'll be the one to take a look at it..or my machine shop guy.

Cjg took a step into that territory and props to him on that.. cause for me if you tell me my engine doesn't work and hand me parts to it that you took off..I'll just laugh at ya..

That and all of the sudden "I sold it, took a $2k loss..".. yea I'm callin there..somethins up..

I was just wantin to know..curiosity & the prinicipal of things I guess...

i can surely get the guy that bought the engine to post on here and tell you guys what exactly was the problem
and BTW when i told cjs about the motor he suggested that i take the front cover check the timing chain and see if there was a bind i did what he asked and pulled the engine apart i made a video of how the mains were loose and he suggested there was nothing wrong with that. After seeing the vid he asked me to send it back at my expense to the builder that didn't do it right in the first place.. The motor wasn't done right once i didn't want to send it back to someone that didn't seem to do good work.. I gave cjs a reputable engine builder and told him to call anyone in the city and i would bring it to have it fixed and he said NO

And call BS all you want i can have the guy that bought the motor chime in and tell you what he paid for it to clearly show you that i lost out..

and yes i am sure cjs wasn't out to screw anyone he just put faith in a builder but when things went wrong either he didn't have the money to fix the problem or he just didn't want to, as he said many times "Its your problem now"

Hey this is the typical day in america..we got two people..two stories, and somewhere in the middle is the truth.

I was just wonderin about it..when it comes down to it my ****'s runnin and drivin so I'm happy.

 

The bottom line is the motor didn't turn over something wasn't right i took a video on my dig camera to show the problem. I tried to resolve it but after sending him $4000 and a BS3 he claimed it was now my problem...He suggested i pull the motor apart first to try and find the problem i did and found the problem and he still was trying to make it my problem..
A good seller would have said send it back COD if there is in fact a problem i will correct it if there isn't you will have to pay shipping both ways.. he didn't he said it was my problem i tried to send him his broken motor back for a refund and he said he wasn't giving me anything he spent the money.
Correct i didn't have to sell the motor for what i did but who is going to pay top dollar for a motor that needs to be fixed?
sold block crank rods pistons for 1200 sold heads for 600 push rods for 85 cam for 200 oil pump and timing chain for 175 pan that had 2 huge holes drilled in it for 75 head studs for 100 that totals 2435 now subtract that from 4000+ the 1700 i was asking for the BS3 we traded thats 3265 the parts were sold for what the going rate is for used parts

And BTW glad your car is up and running mine has another 3-4months before it running but will be one fast *** street car.
Also i own the only LS specialist performance shop in New Orleans i have been working on these cars and many others for a good while so it not like your average joe was pulling the motor apart
