Not to crush your hope but this guy is stringing you along. If he went to jail he has probably been in jail before and may have probation. If he does then threaten to contact the probation officer if he does not send the money in a very short time ( 1 hour or so). Whatever you do keep up the pressure. I used to work in collections years ago and can tell you a few techniques that work. The key sometimes is to have his relatives, friends, neighbors to get involved (sometimes without them realizing they are involved) and pressure him.

thats the funnest part about collections getting family, friends and neighbors involved!

If the car is at his wife's house, then contact her and tell her that you will buy the car for 500 bucks. Then turn around and sell it for $8,000. You get your money back and then some.

Ok guys I think this dude is an absolute peice of ****!!! But you have to be careful about just going to his house and knocking on the door. I would personally love to beat his *** because of what he has done to the OP and more importantly what he has done to those kids...I am a local cop in my town and I have to deal with this types of stuff all the time. He has done more than take your money...he has committed internet fraud or theft by deception...in my state of Alabama if its more than $500 it is an automatically FELONY!!!! So I think that the OP needs to go and file a report with his local police dept. and since you know who it is that done it...you can swear out a warrant for his arrest!!! And since he already has a few run-ins with the law it probably wouldn't look to good for him. Hope you get the wheels or money back!

My fault man. Well this is where we are right now. I spoke to his family and told them what was up. They were shocked when they found out I knew all of there names and addresses. But they were real with me and told me that he was a junky and back on drugs. I can't believe this guy spent my money on drugs. Then never attempt to take my stuff off of his car. The father said, "You can beat the **** out of him or whatever you want to do. But please don't kill him. He's still my son and I still love him." And I said I'm not trying to get violent, but I'm very pissed by the way he played me. They think since I'm from New Orleans, I'm going to come and look for the whole family or something. I don't want the family. I want him. But, I do want there help. If it was my brother, I know I would go get the **** myself and ship it because the **** is wrong. But like a man, **** real now. If I go to the police, I still won't get my rims. I want to see the car and get the rims. And let him see me or somebody call him. Then I wish he would bring his ***** a-- over there.You guys have to excuse my foul language, but I'm pissed off right now and this is the way I feel. I apoligize if I offended anyone.
