BUYER BEWARE!! Bad Boy Racing, Inc. - BBR, Inc. - Jeremy Brown (ZEX-Z)
Over two months ago, I found an advertisement on Craigslist Houston for an LS6 intake, off of an '03 Z06. It was being sold by Jeremy Brown from BBR, Inc., in Freeport, TX. I contacted Jeremy (March 19th) about purchasing the LS6 intake and he immediately replied saying that it was still available. I sent him a money order the same day and he received the money order a few days later, as I am only 150 or so miles from where he lives. After two weeks of not receiving the LS6 intake that I paid him for, I contacted Jeremy to see what was going on. He told me that he shipped it out and that I should expect to see it in a few days.
A week later, after still not receiving the LS6 intake, I contacted Jeremy again. He said that the intake had been returned for some reason, but that he would send it out again. I told him to let me know when he had sent it out. Two days later, I still hadn't heard from him, so I contacted him yet again. He said that he wasn't able to send it out, because he had been so busy at work, but that he'd get someone to mail it out that day. The next day, I received a text from Jeremy stating that he had finally been able to ship it out. A few days later (April 19th), I had a package at my front door, finally I had received my LS6 intake that I had paid for nearly a month prior. Not so much.
I opened the package to find an LS2 intake, PN 12589181. I was shocked that I had to wait a month to receive the WRONG part. I immediately contacted Jeremy, to see what had happened. He said that it was indeed an LS6 intake and that it "came off of a Z06" and that "I ran it on my car for a month and I have a '98 C5". Finally, he admitted that he indeed had sent me an LS2 intake, instead of the LS6 intake that I had paid him for. He tried to tell me that the LS2 intake flowed better than the LS6 intake, and that I had gotten a deal on this LS2 intake. I was shocked to see that someone who claims to be an LSx Specialist at his shop, BBR, Inc., would try to argue that the LS2 intake was better than the LS6 intake.
After days of discussing with him that I wanted either the LS6 intake that he had been offering, or my money back, instead of this LS2 intake, he finally agreed to giving me my money back, via Paypal (April 21). That was a week and a half ago and I still haven't seen anything. The best part about it is that now he won't answer/return my phone calls or my text messages. I've been very dissappointed in the way Jeremy has handled this transaction. I'm not asking for anything other than my money back and I've given him ample opportunity to make this transaction right, but he hasn't been receptive to any of it. He was feeding me lies about how great the LS2 intake was compared to the LS6 intake. I'm not here to debate how you can run a 90mm TB on the LS2 intake and have it perform well. I just wanted to receive an LS6 intake, when I sent him the money for the LS6 intake he was selling on Craigslist.
I contacted Jeremy today, to make him aware of the fact that I was going to write this Seller Feedback on the forum, to see if that would help the situation and it hasn't, so here it is. Hopefully no one else has to deal with this type of transaction from Jeremy or BBR, Inc. If there's anything anyone on here can do to help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Here's our whole conversation, via text message. I didn't contact Jeremy via text until after I had sent him the money for the LS6 intake.
It's too bad that you tried to put all of the blame on me, saying that I agreed that it was ok for you to send me an LS2 intake. The above texts CLEARLY show that I paid you for an LS6 intake and then you tried to pull a fast one on me and send me an LS2 intake. You admitted to making a mistake and know everyone can see what kind of shady deal this was.

Yeah, it does. I've tried to be nice about the whole situation, but there comes a point where I just had to make everyone aware of what happened. I hate doing it this way, but I don't want anyone else to have to go through this. Such a pain in the ***...

The good news is that Jeremy has since contacted me and agreed to pay me back my money. We'll see if he actually gets me my money back and when he does, I'll let everyone know. Things look promising though...

That sucks ***** man. I'm confused though...why did you send him a money order in the first place if you both had paypal? You don't have any protection via money order in instances such as this, but you can protect yourself through paypal...

I offered to pay via Paypal and he said that he didn't have an account. And honestly, I thought the transaction would go smoothly, so I wasn't worried about seller protection. I was probably being a little naive, but then again, I'd never been screwed like this before. Lesson learned...

I was under the same impression, that you should know the difference. I'm still holding out that I'll see my money. We'll see...

Jeremy's back to his old tricks again, not returning phone calls, e-mails, or text messages. I'm going to contact his local police department and see what I can do about filing a mail fraud case. I'm also going to contact the BBB and see what they can do about this, or see if they can offer up any advice. If I have to, I'll go to small claims court to get my money back, but this is getting ridiculous. Mods, can you offer any help?

Ha I was 2 seconds away from buying this from him... or maybe you bought it and he was still telling me it was available. However, you should have had him send you pics of it before hand. He wouldn't send me any so I didn't send the money. Also, it was only for sale on craigslist but he is on like 5 other forums posting classifieds for other products. Those say his paypal account on them. The one big dead give away though was the 225 shipped price tag. Those things sell for 300+ daily on this website.. who wouldn't want to make an extra 75 dollars. Oh well, you live and learn and im sorry about your loss and hope he sends you your money back.
You're totally right though how it makes his business look like ****.

FreedS4- I am sorry to hear about all of this. I know people get scammed from private sellers, but from a "reputable" buisness, YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING!! He is trying to become a LS1tech sponsor with buisness methods shown above. Screw him, Get your money & Get him out of a job that he doesnt deserve!! Good luck with everything man.

What other sites is he on trying to sell stuff? I'd like to inform other people about his shady business as much as I can. I knew the deal sounded too good to be true, but I still don't deserve all of this crap. I'm glad you didn't bite on it and end up getting screwed as well!
