The cam was pretty damn big (the absolute largest that could possibly be placed in an LS2 with stock heads and stock head gaskets). It was specced by Pat G and had about the same PTV as the T-Rex.
Hopefully he doesn't measure PTV or uses the wrong pushrods and busts his **** up.

I've opened an appeal with paypal.
I think the fact that I'm submitting a police report (which is a crime to lie about) and am willing to pay money out of my own pocket for court costs to file a small claims suit in my city under sworn testimony might work in my favor.
I also MAY have him on a technicality. He claimed in his original paypal dispute which forced the refund that "This cam shell is not even the one he said he was sending me. I contacted the manufactuerer to compare the numbers on it and they said they didn't even make that and not one that they brand. I want the cam that I ordered"
He sent back a GM cam and I can prove that what he said was a lie because they will easily recognize the "numbers on it". If there are no numbers on it, I also can prove it wrong. That is exactly why I had a UPS employee open it instead of myself...for the sake of posterity that I did not switch cams upon receipt.
I'm going to fight this as much as I can.
Wish me luck.
BTW, I'm completely serious about opening a small claims suit against this person for a forced judgement in my favor to submit with the police report to the Chicago PD.

I have something like 23,000 posts there.
Unfortunately I was unable to complete the police report yesterday evening. I'll be calling Chicago PD Monday to complete the report.
I'll then print out a hard copy and mail it to his address. Hopefully this ******* lives with his parents and they'll open it up to find a police report filed on their son.

I know he's watching this thread because he asked that it be removed. Admin's kindly refused.
Admin's actually said he was "blowing up LS1tech's email" asking that it be removed.
He knows what he did or he would be trying to defend himself here.

No, I don't know how old he is, but he WILL be receiving physical mail at his address and it WILL contain a copy of the police report. It's up to him what he wants to do with that. I even sent him a message letting him know that I'd be willing to work with him to resolve this matter. Ball is in his court and I'm a very reasonable person.
He actually seemed like a legit buyer because he was haggling price and didn't want pushrods with it. All part of his game I guess.

Me too...honestly, a $400 cam is not a big deal to me, but it's unfortunate that crooks like him exist to make the internet a less safe place to do transactions. It's people like him that ruin good things for honest people.
I feel that my appeal to paypal was very sincere and contained a lot of honest information, so I hope they find in my favor.
If not, $375 bucks won't ruin my week, but I hope he knows that doing what he did wasn't worth 375 dollars.

he also must be a ***** for not even cpming to this thread to face whats coming to him. What did he say when you said your making a police report? He can and will get arrrested for that if you press charges. Which you should. If its in his car they will just uave to get someone to take it out. Hope the engine falls out and cracks open.
